#AskEden - What happens when a person gets a free assignment item, but never does the review?

Contributor: ArcaneBlast ArcaneBlast
I've often wondered whatever happened to those items.
It seems a bit unfair that another person who wants the item and will actually do the review can't because all the items have been assigned and perhaps one of which was given to someone who doesn't hold their end of the bargain.
This is especially true for those who gets a lingerie piece because there is only 1 free piece they can give away.

I've often wondered about this, too....Sometimes when I try to request something, it's like, "There are already 3 blahdy blah blah.." or whatever it says and there are no reviews for the product yet....

Often that's a brand new item. If it just became available that day and 30 people requested it in the first few hours, 3 of those people are going to get assigned it. It then takes about a week for most people to get something and test it, and another few days to take pictures and type out the review.

If it's an old item, sometimes I think admins will cancel reviews on lingerie. That's one reason why the pricing and ranking are the way they are, Eden would rather you run off with some $10 panties and never come back than send newbies or mentor students something high end that they may not get a review back on.

The person will also never be able to come on here again, and even if they apologize it doesn't look good to have stolen an item. If it's been over a month and the item still says the review is out on it (people have one month to write a review) you can always contact JR about it. Sometimes he does amazing things behind the scenes.

This is something I feel pretty bad about---I had a review pretty well fully done on a high-end vibe, but I was in a class. My mentor didn't respond to my updates for a while, and then I kind of got discouraged and stopped signing in to check. Then my mentor was back, but I was MIA---but I was failed from the class, and now that review is locked forever I really want to put the review up!

Ah is that why sometimes even if you qualify for the more expensive products it'll ask you for a reason?

Locked meaning you couldn't even review the product out of the class?
Couldn't you send a support ticket? I mean if it's your mentor's fault you shouldn't have to lose credibility for not doing your assignment and the community shouldn't have that product unavailable.

Did you talk with JR? I am pretty sure that issue has been fixed because I had something similar happen in class.

It's no ones fault because there used to be (might still be) and error in the system. If there are pending reviews that one did in class and the student is removed from class (failing, graduation, or cancelling..) the review must be completed in class.

In the past, a quick fix was to enroll with a mentor and have them publish it, assuming it's ready. The review should become available again once you're in a class again.

I had that happen as well, where I had done a few reviews and the mentor didn't realize I had submitted another and graduated me. We were able to "free" the review from it's trap, and all is well. So I think it's possible to get it out of limbo!

You'd be surprised at how many people come back and finish a review after six months to a year. As everyone else has said, once you have a sponsored assignment out you cannot request another.

For the stuck reviews, just join up with a mentor and it will unlock it.
