How helpful do you find pictures?

I love adding pictures to my reviews ( though I just started reviewing). It gives more detail than the pictures provided on the product pages.

How helpful do you find pictures? Do you like adding them to your reviews? How many on each review?

I find pictures can be very helpful, they can help give the reader a better idea what it looks like under normal lighting (Not everyone uses a toy under professional lighting, eh?), size and texture.

I like to add two or three pic's to my reviews but sometimes I add more. Just depends on the product, some I feel need more.

I REALLY like pictures, be it to show the real size or to show the flexibility or something. In lingerie reviews it's helpful to see how sheer it is and how it fits a 'real' person.

A picture is worth . . . .

I like seeing the pictures- they make it look more real? Like the product isn't just a thing on the internet when someone's holding it
and I get a better idea of the size

Pictures are definitely really good. As PassionateLover2 says, a picture is worth a thousand words. Sometimes, especially for lingerie, it's only necessary to show how the item fits.

I like putting them in mine and I like seeing them in other people's reviews. I think they are very helpful.

I'm the odd man out here. I mostly hate them.

Let me clarify that, though.

If the picture shows something the product pictures do not, it is useful.

If it's just a picture of the toy sitting there, showing nothing in particular, it's not useful.

Make your pictures show a thousand words. Show flexibility, size comparisons, special things about packaging, texture, charging ports or battery compartments, controls, etc.

Don't just set your vibrator on the table and snap a pic. That does no real good.

And, for the love of all that is holy in dildoville, size your images so they don't take up the whole product page. I find this especially distracting in the extended template. Everything is so spread out already, then you add images and it's almost impossible to find info without scrolling half your day away...

Just my opinions, of course.

i find them helpful about half the time. most times the review has way too many pictures that dont help and cause the review to load too slow.
