Hi, my husband and I recently found this site...we are both toy novices - he more of a novice than myself. I just graduated to a reviewer and would love some tips on 1) how to get toys to review and 2) what toys might be best to try for beginners. I am especially interested in not throwing something at him that might intimidate him and make him run for the hills, before we have even started, lol.

As far as toys are concerned, are you looking for couples toys that you can use together or something for him to use on you? Are you considering dildos or just toys that vibrate? I don't know what type of stimulation you like. Do you prefer clitoral stimulation? Vaginal stimulation? Are you sensitive to stimulation and don't require much power to achieve satisfaction?

I prefer clitoral stimulation and ideally we would find something that we could use together or that he could use on me. He's more of a voyeur and isn't too concerned with toys being used on him. I really like stuff done to me and immensely enjoy him watching! From looking around the site, I am very intrigued by the cock rings. Neither of us has ever used one of these, so I think we will get one and try it out soon. I don't feel like I require much power in a toy to reach orgasm, but since I haven't tried much, I can't say for sure. Sometimes it does take me a little while, though, so I would rather not purchase something that needs the batteries changed every 5 minutes! I am not sure if I would like the vibrator too much vaginally as I had a vibrator before and used it primarily as a dildo, but I wouldn't say that I am really picky nor do I really know what I would prefer as far as vibrators or dildos go, just yet. I do feel, though, that I would especially like a vibrator that comes with a clitoral stimulation as that is what really turns me on the most.

Also, about the review program...

I guess my real question about the review process is that I don't see "contributor" or "grab it" on any page anywhere. Am I just supposed to wait until something gets assigned to me or can I actually search the site for items that I would like to review. I have read that instructions, but I am not seeing how it works in real life on the site.

I recommend using the "product search" page that you'll find on your account dashboard. The product search page will give you the option of searching for products within a certain price range, with or without reviews. Searching for items without reviews seems to be the best bet.

Thank you for clarifying, I didn't know what all you were needing. Yes, I agree with SMichelle go to the product search section and limit it to your price range, and it's easier to choose without reviews because reviews with 3 pending reviews can't be assigned as an assignment. However, you can do a buyout for a 30% discount on any item that you wish regardless of how many reviews are on it.

To get to the product search choose assignment cart, product search and then you can add to your cart and request assignments. You may get messages that there are three pending reviews if you don't choose without reviews. Once you find products that don't have assignments it will go through and the administrators will approve- not approve it and then you accept or decline the assignment. You won't have to pay shipping for assignments, so if you happen to want to order something with it you have the ability to add that to your cart as well and won't have to pay the shipping charges. I do this from time to time when I run out of arousal gel or lube and don't want to wait until I have $59 order for free shipping.

I prefer clitoral stimulation as well, but I need a lot of power. I'd look into wands, clitoral vibes, massagers, or bullets for clitoral stimulation. There's a Vroom rating which explains how powerful they are. 1 is weak and 5 is strong.

Thank you all for getting back to me! I will definitely be looking into "product search" and see if I can find some fun stuff that way.

Also, thanks for advice on the types of toys that I might like. It's fun looking at this site when you haven't owned hardly anything on here, but it also makes deciding what you want very difficult, lol!
