Hi all,

The EdenTasks rotation will be occurring shortly. If you’re currently an editor, you received an email earlier in the week letting you know that your rotation is ending, and you’ll receive a decline email once you are rotated out. Thank you for your work this last rotation!

If you’ve submitted an application and editing test for this round and are declined, you can reapply after the rotation has been completed. If you submitted an application without the editing test, you'll receive a decline email; you may reapply after the rotation has been completed.

Once the rotation occurs, new editors will receive notification that they’ve been accepted into the program, and also an email from me with helpful information.

For all new editors - I primarily use email to communicate with you, so if you don't have a current or correct email address on file, please let me know as soon as possible. Please make sure to check your email regularly.

The editor rotation is now complete.

To the previous editors, thank you for all your hard work during the last rotation!

To the new editors, welcome! I've sent you an email with links to information that you will find helpful, as well as other information on the EdenTasks program. Please read the email carefully, and please don't hesitate to email me at sammi@edenfantasys. com if you have any questions.

Anyone who wants to apply for the next round can submit an application now that the rotation is complete. Please make sure that your email is up to date, and check your email/spam folder - you'll receive a confirmation of your submission and the editing test for the next round from me at the email address you have on file within a week of submitting your application. Also, please remember that applications will remain on file until the next rotation (you won't be accepted or declined until then).

I totally missed it, maybe next time. Congrats to all the new editors and thank you for all the hard work you put in old editors. I think editing is my favorite part of the site. At least I still have students.

I'm really excited to be an editor! I'm a little bummed that every time I check the Task Market it has been empty, though. Does anyone have recommendations on times of day, days of the week to check, etc.? (I mean, I'll have to be discreet if I'm checking it at work, but I don't want to keep missing out on tasks!)

Also, is there a better way of checking for plagiarism than pasting excerpts into google?

It varies - there are reviews that come in every day, so my best suggestion is to check at different times - sometimes evening or early morning seems to have more submitted, but as you've noticed, they get snapped up pretty quickly.

Pasting into Google is the best way I've found to check so far.

I have the same issue with the tasks. I have limited time at home to check up on the task market, as my screen is monitored closely at work.

I actually set up an auto refresh app on my browser and glance at it from time to time so I can multitask at home and still edit a review or two before work.

You can apply any time. They'll keep your application (and your editing sample) on file, and you'll hear back whether you got accepted or not when the next rotation starts (which is about every 3 months).

Ms. N posted about a website called "The Plagiarism Checker" in another thread. Here's what she posted:

"""Editors, here is a good link to help look for plagiarism quickly: The Plagiarism Checker. It has a paid version, but I have found that the free version works well enough for these purposes. You can copy/paste the whole review and check it all at once, which google can't do. """

The rotations are about every 3 months, and you can apply any time up to about a week before the rotation - you want to give yourself time to get the application in, get the test, and submit it with corrections. The next rotation will be around the end of April, if that helps

i just finished a rotation. google is the quickest way to check. i also call up the product page and the reviewer's page. first review? i'm definitely checking google. 20 reviews? i'm definitely checking google - lol! you get a feel for the fakes after awhile. have fun!

Is the rotation change always at the beginning of the month? I put in a request to be a reviewer and it hasn't been approved in about a month so I was curious.

I don't know if you've seen my response to your question on an older thread, but the rotations are approximately every 3 months, and I email new applicants once a week. I sent you an email Sunday (2/17) with the program explanation and the test for the next round. Applications stay on file until the next round, when they're either accepted or declined. You may want to check your spam folder if you haven't received my email, and if you don't see it, please email me (sammi@edenfantasys. com) with a current email address.

I got mine and returned it (thanks!) and wondered the same thing about approvals. I didn't know whether not hearing back meant that I'd flunked the test or something.

Nope - it doesn't mean that at all No one is approved or declined until I do the rotation, and the next one won't be until the end of April.

Yikes. I *JUST* discovered the email (from January!) with the sample review to edit in my spam folder. (I never get spam in gmail, so I basically never check it!) I've never had any other emails from Eden end up there, so I thought I'd post a heads-up to other applicants to keep an eye on your spam if you apply!

A good reminder! I send out tests each week, so if you've applied and haven't gotten an email and test within about a week after you've applied, check your spam folder.
