#EdenTasks - Proofreading Program

Contributor: BBW Talks Toys BBW Talks Toys
For those of you who have been wondering about having a place in the template to preview your review before you submit it:

Save to Draft. It will pop up to the screen just like when reviews were in "No Man's Land" You can see your picture placements AND go back to edit.

I discovered this because I'm writing a review and I'm not at home, so I didn't want it to publish because there are things that I need to have the toy in hand to add to my review and I still need to do my video, so I'm not publishing until it's all done. so I saved it to draft (I also copied each piece and emailed it to myself to avoid losing it ).

Hope this info helps!

Cool, this option was not there for my last review but was before. Thanks for letting us know.

Really? I have always had that feature, it just didn't show my pictures in the lingerie review I did.

Edit- I misread your post the first time lol.

I love the save to draft but maybe my pics didnt show up because of some kink. No one knows. Eden is in turmoil! Lol

FYI, if you attach a video to your review before publishing, it will not auto publish. Two reviews in a row it has done this to me.

Just though y'all should know.

THANK YOU! I have a review to upload with video and I was going to attach it first, now I won't!

If you publish the review first and then add the video you should be fine. Videos don't auto publish unless the review is already published.

Yup your right about videos not auto publishing, they have to be checked. I would think though that my review would have published by now.

I still am not receiving them, but I am guessing it is because they have not published yet?

Thanks for the info about the videos.

I had emailed Gary about the codes.links not working mid last week. They are aware

Yeah, they're supposed to. Give it time, it's still the weekend. Their operating hours are Monday through Friday.

I saw someone with 6.0 that got edited. There are glitches or something at the moment. Be patient. Just report and wait

I had a review auto-publish last night for the first time in a while (and got points), but all the others are still in limbo and as far as I know have not gotten points. I think I've noticed some of the fixes going live. YEAY for that! Thanks guys.

I love the new tickets features btw! Very nice. It makes things more organized

I am having a problem at the moment though, I accepted a follow review task and I cannot edit it. There are no buttons. Anyone else have this?

**UPDATE**
I just went and checked. This follow up was already approved by admin a few hours ago, but I was able to pick it up just now. Another glitch? I'm going to unlock it and hope it disappears.

I saw that review earlier today and sent Gary an email. He said to wait for the fixes to go live. Maybe an Admin published it but it's still glitched in the editor screen?

I grabbed a follow up review to edit and when I went to do it the follow up was already done by somebody else. I thought once I grabbed it that it was mine to work on. New glitch?

Two reviews that I edited didn't publish with any of the edits I made. I specifically remember some of the edits because they were kinda weird, so it was easy to see that they didn't "take" when I accepted and published the review.

The two reviews are:
Seducing Stocking Stuffer
Have a ball with bondage!

If y'all could refrain from voting on my "editing" on them, that'd be great. None of my edits are there. It published just like I received it in the Task manager.

To those of you that are in the proofreading programme: how long did it take to get accepted into it after you submitted a request?

Red,

I believe they accepted a handful of people the first couple of days but have not accepted any more and won't until the glitches are all worked out.

We've got over 80 applications sitting there. I'm not part of the approval process but I'm pretty sure not all 80 are going to get accepted. I believe, once things are fixed, there won't be more than 20 people editing. I could be wrong, though. I am sometimes.

Did you press save after each section? I posted about that elsewhere. If you change things and simply press publish, none of them were saving

Yep, that's what had happened to me. Now I just make sure to hit save after each section and it's been ok so far, though I haven't edited anything in a day or so.

Oh crap. I read that post of yours, but thought that it was about making comments at the bottom or something without pressing save. Uggggh. Yup, that's what it was, though. Gotta remember...

That sure is a lot of applicants!

I can't wait until all this gets worked out and I can get back to writing reviews.
The last one I did has been sitting for nearly two weeks (I have a 5.6) I got no points for it, and I was barely able to submit it. On top of that I accidentally published my draft, and could not edit it. To say the least I am hesitant about doing any more until all some of the glitches are fixed. I probably will just write my follow ups and purchased product reviews offline in the meanwhile.

**Pacing my room nervously, awaiting the changes**

If it's been two weeks it's not with the new system, it's with the old system. I, too, am waiting for a review to publish that is still with admins that was a "Descriptive Review" that is still with the admins.

I actually think it might be a little longer than 2 weeks but I can't remember when I submitted it and I don't want to send in a ticket because things are CRAZY for the admins right now.

I still have no points for my last two reviews. Go ahead and write your reviews. The one I posted Sunday published Monday afternoon!

Descriptive reviews do not always publish right away, I had one that published two weeks later and I remember one from Carrie Ann that took like a year. (I believe that is what she said) Not sure why but it may be they are waiting for a shipment from the supplier or something like that.

When I get a new product, like brand new from the manufacturer, I don't expect my reviews to be up right away. The ones that I've done have been 2 weeks after I reviewed the product, like you said.

I was just, at least, trying to say that she shouldn't wait on writing reviews because of that one review that hasn't published. She should go on to write her others. Even my "auto-publish" review (on the Amethyst) took about 18 hours to publish because of the weekend/whatever kinks may exist. I'm not complaining about my publishing time (although, I'm glad I waited to upload my vid).

The points situation has been made well aware. If after they work out the kinks, I'm still not awarded points I might send in a ticket. Honestly, between gift cards for videos and blogs, plus my regular points for community activity, I'm not ALL that worried about the 100 points I haven't received.

I've got a question, and maybe this has already been asked, but I put in my application over a week ago and at the time it said that it may take 48 hours to get an approval/decline, now it says 72 hours, but I've been waiting quite awhile, so is this just the system and I need to be more patient? Or do I need to submit a support ticket? Thanks!

You do need to be more patient. They're trying to sort out the glitches, as Carrie Ann said, before accepting any more people.

Reviews can take up to three weeks, to a month, to publish. Especially when they are swamped. I feel your pain... many times I have worked hard on reviews only to wait weeks before they published... lol.

Patience grasshopper!

Yes.

There are TONS of people who write TONS of reviews. That is why this whole EdenTasks has come about in the first place. I work on multiple reviews at a time and publish little by little..

Also Eden does indeed spoil the hell out of us therefore it should not be a big deal for anyone if they don't get their points, IMHO.

Also don't forget it's the holidays and it seems that Eden is completely swamped as of late. JUST. BE. PATIENT. EVERYONE.

I suggest waiting until changes have been announced as being live on the site and THEN submit a support ticket . I'm pretty sure that any issues arising from here on out have already been talked about in this thread. Multiple times.
