Thank you for your feedback on the thread put up on Friday (June 7th), we've modified the list of mandatory actions after hearing all of your concerns. Privacy is essential to the relationship between Eden and its community. You can find the updated list here.
Mandatory Actions:
• Open new account • Publish public profile • Verify your email
The account will upgrade from Trial to Regular once all actions have been completed and fifteen days have passed since completion of the first action. Both of those things are required to upgrade.
Also for your convenience, here is the points schedule for Trial Members:
Thanks for the update! I'm so glad that you guys took off all of the sharing requirements. They were making me hesitant to refer friends to EF. Many people I talk to about toys, are still in their shells, and a bit reserved. Those other requirements would have scared them off. I'm glad that you made the requirements private. I definitely agree to the trial members point schedule. It definitely will make people stick around if they want full benefits, and hopefully long term members. Plus, it will slow them down, so they aren't voting just to vote or fill their point quota for the day.
I think this is a really good change. Not everyone wants to be "out" in the sex toy world and I think the other way would have just scared more people off then had them try to become normal members.
It is nice to know that we can be heard out here and our opinions are taken into account. It is I think, what we love most about this community among other things.

Thanks for taking the community members concerns into consideration.
I appreciate the fact that even though this pertains to the new members--you listened to the advanced member's concerns regarding the requirements!! The newcomers would not know to air their concerns about the privacy issue and would have just gone on their way--now they are able to continue with privacy guaranteed and feel comfortable on the site without having to worry about others knowing about their sex lives....
Thanks for listening to our concerns. It is nice to know that new members won't be scared away from joining the site with the new regulations. I always refer people whether it be my close friends, my cam friends and some family members and most of them join I don't want them to be put off on things they did not feel comfortable doing.

Oh, wow! I actually think the list is TOO short now, lol! It certainly looks a lot less intimidating, though, and I think it'll have good effects on business here at EF.
I'm so glad! Like a few others have mentioned, it make me hesitant to refer people here; I know a few of them wouldn't like the sharing that was required before. This is much better! Yay!

Yeah, I thought it was too short too but I was vetoed.
I am not a new member and happy to see privacy for new people will be the norm, if so desired. I have introduced some of my friends to this site but I know that some don't want their sex toy life in social media as a condition to be involved with EF.
it's good to see EF considered the advanced reviewers thoughts & concerns regarding newbies. and I do believe privacy is extremely important to all of us.
I do think that newbies should be required to have a mentor from the outset to help them understand site navigation and to move through the trial requirements & understand what the importance of reviews are all about.
I don't see very many new reviewers taking advantage of the wonderful opportunity to learn what they can gain from a good experienced mentor. maybe they don't how significant it is.
I believe being a good mentor entails a great responsibility in shaping a newbies development of quality reviews. at least that's been my experience as well as observations of other new growing reviewers. and I say hip, hip hooray to those dedicated to the desire to offer their best to EF. something to be considered.
and another thing to consider is maybe specific guidelines could be put in place for mentors to watch for improvement on those reviews. I'm not wanting to suggest an extra burden on mentors. but I have seen so many newbies' reviews that don''t promote EF products very well - so what's the point in having them?
anyway, I hope these thoughts will be taken into consideration since I have a strong desire for EF to become as strong as they used to be and at the same drawing the community closer together creating a great site to be committed to, and of course, enjoyed.

I would like to point out that just because you create an account does not mean you intend to review; this horse has been beaten to death - requiring people to join the mentor program will never happen.
