I sent in my request on June 26th and haven't heard back about it. It said that I should hear back either way within a week. What should I do? Should I keep waiting?

I think that the best thing to do would be to send in a support ticket. That way they can see if anyone's 'picked it up' and done any work on it or not. You can go from there and see what happens, but there just might not be a lot of editors online right now because of vacation, the holiday, and such.

I clicked on Eden Tasks - Waiting for Approval - and it says this:

Sammi said several weeks ago that the new rotation would start in July. She is currently on vacation, but I am sure it will change over once she returns the week of the 16th. Whether or not she has already chosen new proofreaders or not, I do not know, but I do know that both acceptances and rejections will go out once she is ready to make the changeover from this rotation to the next. You should hear something in a couple of weeks.

You'll be getting your notification email shortly, and then another email letting you know if you were accepted or declined later this week.
