I have heard really good things about the pure plugs being very wearable. I think the smaller the better for those though because they material is so heavy. The bootie should be very wearable as well.
05/01/2009
I haven't tried the bootie yet. The pure plug is probably the most comfortable plug I've used.
05/01/2009
Is there any reason that the Ryder was not included? I thought it was a general favorite.
05/01/2009
It fell below my price point. I was trying to limit the number of plugs .
05/01/2009
BOOTIE.
05/02/2009
Guess I have to say the NJoy medium for extended ware, the Njoy 2.0 is awesome for DP during masturbation but not for extended ware for me. I feel the NJoy small is just too small.
05/04/2009
Bootie is easy to insert, always comfortable, and never budges until I take it out.
05/20/2009
i'd have to say ringo
01/09/2011
I'm big on the Bootie for extended wear. Very, very comfortable product...
03/13/2011
Ringo =)
03/26/2011
I haven't used any of these, but the Flirt looks like fun.
03/26/2011
I've experience only with the aluminum minis. I got one BEFORE I got an N-Joy Pure Plug medium (I should have bought the large). While lying on the couch one night, my ass very nearly ate the damn thing! Don't go there.
07/26/2011
Both the Njoy and Luxotic plugs will stay in pretty well.
02/18/2012
the bootie plug is good for extended wear
05/12/2012
i didn't know they could be wearable

These plugs are all over $30. Are they worth the price or not?

All the plugs you have selected are made of safe materials, and some are relatively inexpensive, so I would say they are definitely worth the extra cost over a less expensive plug made out of less safe material.
That being said, is the stainless steel worth the extra cost over the aluminum, silicone and glass? Maybe not, but if staying in place is factored in, one of the pure plugs might be worth it.

Bootie is SO worth the price. I haven't tried the Pure Plugs but I really want to, and I bet I will think they are worth the money.
05/02/2009
Stainless steel plugs are worth it. And so easy to care for.
05/04/2009
Bootie and the Njoy Pure Plug medium sized are worth every penny.

They are all made of quality materials, so for the most part, I would say that they are worth the price tag even if some of them are a little steep.

If you want quality toys, yes! You get what you pay for.
02/18/2012
I wouldn't buy one over $40. As long as it is silicone or glass, it would be worth it.

Which material is the best for a plug? Silicone, glass, metal, other?

I haven't experienced extended wear with a metal plug, so I am not sure how comfortable that is as one moves around, but there would be no concern with silicone.
05/01/2009
I am totally in love with the Njoy pure plug right now. It's more comfortable than I would have expected, but you can feel it due to the weight.
05/01/2009
I've worn the Luxotiq Glass for extended periods, and the portion inside my body was very comfortable. The only difficulty was the base - if you're sitting for long periods it can irritate because it doesn't flex like silicone. It's fine if you're standing up, though.
05/03/2009
Forgot to talk about Ringo. It stays in pretty well, but especially when you're new to it it's hard to shake the feeling that it's going to fall out. It's a big plug, but for its size it's easy to get in.
The only other thing about it is the base. It's a bit more noticeable than other bases. For long term wear I really like the base on the A-bomb, since it stays out of trouble.

IT's hard to see everything at once.
The only one of these that I've tried and had problems with it coming out is the Flirt. Nice plug, feels good going in, but I always have to have a hand ready just in case. The other ones I haven't tried. My only concern with the Pure Plug is how well it would work if you're sitting down.

I haven't tried the medium one yet, but with the small one I've had no trouble sitting in chairs or on the floor.
05/03/2009
I love the feeling of stainless steel for an extended ware butt plug. The medium feels great sitting, walking and during sex. My b/f enjoys waring it as well. I probably should have gotten the large and probably will some day.

For extended period of time get the Pure Plug 2.0
For a cheap glass plug which is probably my favorite out of all the ones I have tired, you need to look for the Don Wand Clear Plug.
EF doesn't sell it here (I wish they sold more DonWand products because their prices cannot be beat for the glass toys) but you can find it over at amazon.com
Hopefully I am allowed to post this link:

I have yet to find a plug that dominates this one.

The Njoy Pure plug is very comfortable for extended wear, but mine came out at times.
Bootie was even more comfortable and never moved.

I don't use plugs for extended wear, just during sex. I LOVE the Plug of Lust from Orion. It's all silicone and very comfortable. link I have the small, but it also comes in a large.
It's my "go to" plug most of the time, if that's what we're doing that particular time.

In my opinion, silicone is the best material; it's so smooth and just feels really good.

I'm not a fan of non-pliable materials like glass and metal for anal use, but it is definitely a matter of preference here. Keep in mind, both glass and metal can be very good for temperature play, so if that's something you're interested in, it could be a big part of the decision.
03/13/2011
Silicone is a bit more flexi, and won't seem so "hard" and uncomfortable if you're keeping it in for long periods.
07/06/2011
Silicone, stainless and glass are all great for plugs. I'd also add that I love my wooden plug, the Nob Essence Romp.
02/18/2012
I would pick silicone, then glass.

I chose the booty because it is made of silicone so it is safe and should be comfortable. The base makes it good for long term wear. The cost is very reasonable.
05/01/2009
Bootie again! The base is just awesome for extended wear. It's long enough that I don't have to worry about it getting sucked in, but small enough to be very comfortable.
05/02/2009
I have the encore and will eventually write a review but I don't recommend it for long term wear. It sort of leans inside my recum to the right and pins down a nerve inside really painfully, plus it slips out.
05/04/2009
Yeah, I love the base. It's so small and I love its shape. Bootie is a small plug but it feels incredibly good.
05/20/2009
Depends on what you want to do in terms of wear and sensations. Some plugs are better for long-term wear (long necks, comfortable bases), others are better for active play (the Alumina is definitely in this category). The sensations are different, too, depending on whether it's a big plug, prostate plug, etc.
I wrote a bit about plug feelings on my blog link

It's a big plug, but if you want a big plug for long-term wear the A-Bomb is great. Very stimulating if you're a man (can't speak about women, but I imagine it would still be pretty good). The base is comfortable, the bulge is right against the prostate, and it is very secure.

The Ringo and the Pure Plug 2.0 are probably going to be the most difficult to insert since they are the largest. If you're looking for a stretch though...
The rest of them might be pretty similar for this category.

The harder the material, the easier to insert, I'd say. But I don't have much trouble with silicone either.

I agree, can always warm up with a smaller plug, if you want.

Bootie is very easy to insert. Usually it is easy to insert the Njoy Pure plug. It's ergonomic.
05/20/2009
The larger ones (ringo) would def be harder
