Dildo as an anal toy... curved or straight for women?

Contributor: BeachyKeen BeachyKeen
Just starting to explore anal play (fingers only so far) and really enjoying discovering this new sensation. For women who use a dildo as an anal toy, curved or straight... or does it even matter? I would like a medium size (approx. 1.5" diameter) realistic-ish, comfortable dildo for solo anal play. There are a lot of options, of course, but curve vs. straight is still a question I haven't resolved. Do you have a preference, and if so, why? (Guys, your insights would be appreciated as well.) Thanks, everyone!

Has anyone used the Stronic Eins anally? Does it work well?

If anyone has tried it, how does it work?

Do they hurt or what? How do they feel? Never tried them before and curiousity is killing me.

Large dildo for anal use: Maverick vs Outlaw
I'm looking at getting a large dual-density dildo for anal play. The current contenders are the VixSkin Maverick and VixSkin Outlaw, but I'd also be..

My girlfriend prefer more straight toys for anal play. She finds curve toys sometimes uncomfortable.

I think the straighter ones are easier to use - they can have a slight curve, but the straighter ones (or squishy ones if curved) are more comfortable.

While I'm not a woman, my take is a bit different. With a soft toy (silicone), I'd recommend a slight curve. You're not interested in prostate stimulation, but since the rectum is curved a curved dildo can "track" it easier than a straight one.

I don't have a female anatomy either but I would definitely suggest that something that is a little flexible is probably a good bet (ie. silicone over like glass or metal), and then something that is generally just softly curved. Straight probably won't be a problem at all, but you also don't necessarily need something with a significant curve to it.

For me it's more about hardness than curves - if it's an ungiving material then it's just not going to go in my butt. If it was a soft material, however, I'd be fine with it in straight or in curved.

This is especially true if your contemplating any kind of dual penetration. A curved anal toy makes using a vaginally inserted toy uncomfortable.

I don't really have a preference. Curved, straight, soft material, hard material.. it all gets inserted anally without much discomfort

Same here. If you are just starting a soft material is best. I like firm materials without a curve. I have it all though.

Comfort of straight materials depends on firmness, depth, and your body's layout.

I agree, a rigid shaft makes more difference, to me, than if it's curved or straight. Just make sure that whatever you use has a flared base for safety so it won't get sucked into your body.
