Do you wake up needing to add more lube when sleeping with a plug inside of you?

Contributor: Entropy Entropy
I find that if I'm wearing a glass plug to sleep that silicone lube will last the whole night. If I'm wearing a silicone plug, there's a 50/50 chance that I'll either have to wake up and remove the plug, or add more water based lube to return to sleep.

I do not own any glass plugs, but I generally use my steel ones (Njoy Large and 2.0) without lubricant. Inserting them in the shower while they're wet seems to suffice for me.

After a few hours, they seem to gain a coating of natural mucous. Okay, that's kind of gross sounding, but it's great since it doesn't dry up like water-based lube, and it's not oily feeling like silicone.

As for silicone plugs, I've not kept those in for more than a few hours, but I do find that they become pretty dry within that time period. I wouldn't sleep with one in as I'd be worried about it sticking to my insides (and not like oatmeal, either).

I also sleep sometimes with the NJoy large or 2.0 and never have any issues sleeping the whole night through..

I've never actually tried sleeping through a whole night with a plug in, so I can't say that I have much experience in that area. Is it comfortable in general?

Boink,
I have only done it a few times... It made it difficult to fall asleep for me and I felt like it kept me from getting a restful sleep. Your mileage may vary though; I did get used to it after a few tries, especially since the Njoy large is so comfortable. Of course, a narrow-necked plug like an Njoy will be easier and more comfortable than something that keeps the sphincters open. (It's also safer in my mind.)

I've slept in my Pfun Plug and the Pure 2.0, with various lubes from Astroglide to Wet Platinum to Maximus. In all those instances I haven't had an issue. However, in my experience, I've never had stainless steel stick internally (OUCH!)

I have been concerned that silicone could be a different issue. It's fnny that you recently posed this question because I'm going to sleep in the Severin Large tonight. That's right, almost 6.9" circumference! It's Tantus HQ silicone though I used a lube shooter earlier with 10 mL of Maximus water based lube when warming up. Then I used about 5 mL more to coat the Severin when inserting. Maximus is a great long lasting cushioning lube for anal play. I've gotten samples when purchasing anal toys from my wonderful local sex shop. I've had the Severin Large in for 5 hours now with no discomfort. After tomorrow AM's fun it'll be something like 14 hours! I'll see how it works out

I think the idea is that you'll get stimulation throughout the night which might affect your dreams or might be nice when you do wake up. It is different and unusual - I've tried it once, and did find that I didn't sleep as well.

Lube reapplications depend on many factors. I'd look into an oil-based lube for nightime use so it wouldn't dry out, but then you'd need to have some sort of protection for the sheets.

The problem with long term wear is that a butt plug feels great while you're sexually excited, but when you aren't it can feel more odd than sexy - and during long-term wear there will be times when you're not sexually excited.

have never fell asleep with a plug in. I just can't! Not even a short nap. Tried, did not work. Why, idk..? ..and why would you sleep with it inside you? I've tried just for fun, but it wasn't much fun since I couldn't sleep lol

It's hard to sleep with a plug in because I always start rubbing my clit in my sleep.

Wearing a butt plug to bed can definitely be quite a challenge, even for the experienced. I make sure to opt for a very flexible and medium-ish sized one whenever I go to sleep plugged.

As for the lubrication issue... I'm sure there might be some naysayers about doing this, but I tend to use a liberal amount of petroleum jelly to ensure that I won't wake up and realize my plug's superglued in my butt. I wouldn't recommend using petroleum jelly any time other than sleeping since it's kind of a messy, hard to clean up lube.

I'm impressed that you've worn a glass plug to sleep! I've never tried that, although I've gone to bed a handful of times wearing rigid larger-sized plugs before as an occasional punishment and never had a very good night's sleep. I can imagine that an inflexible plug, let alone glass, would take some Zen-like patience in order to drift off into sleep. I am jealous lol kudos!
