Does Anyone Read the Posts

Contributor: Two Grand Two Grand
I can't understand how so many people as the same questions over and over again i.e. "Which one would you choose" or "what is the best one", can someone give me an answer PLEASE. Or the one that really gets to me what color would you choose, lube it up and stick it in your butt.

Often they're 'point farming,' or just posting something in order to get the points for it. This goes against the Eden TOS, but it's hard to catch everyone on here and, unless they do it ALL the time it's not worth the effort sometimes to constantly have people on the look out.

Sometimes people also want to compare very specific items. I know that for my anniversary I asked what I should get to wear, and there weren't other people who had posted the exact question for the same products.

Ironically...

(they make some interesting points there, too, that you can read through!)

Sometimes people just want reassurance on what they've already decided, sometimes they just can't decide. Often there are different products being compared and different colors. At least, that's what I've found. With "which one would you choose" or "what is the best one" it's comparing different items than other posts so there would be different answers.

I think sometimes it's point farming, but sometimes legit.

I think you can tell by the wording in the original post. I like to see it when you can see the time that went into the thread.

Sometimes it is relative to the individual. Also, the search can be a bit tricky--okay, it is mean to me but that could be because I have bad luck on searches. There are some point farmers--but many of these could also be new members that have not read through the previous postings.....

I think this is any ugly, unfriendly topic. I saw one like it not too long ago. To quote you, what 'gets me' are topics like this.

Sometimes it's point farming, sometimes people legitimately want to know which would the majority of people choose, some people are really indecisive!

Because a lot of people don't want to just "lube it up" and stick it in their butt; they want to buy a product that they like, even when it comes to looks, and are indecisive and want the reassurance of asking other people. For instance, if you're out shopping and you could get the red shirt or the blue shirt, but you can only get one shirt and you like them both, you'd ask for a second opinion, which can help you decide.

Sometimes people want advice, and sometimes people are farming for points, but really...who cares, unless it's just really annoyingly obvious? I've posted polls about lingerie sets that I'm unsure of, because I love lingerie, but can only get so many sets with my points. I like getting other people's opinions when I'm totally up in the air about it.

This. I'm indecisive and like other people's opinions before I buy.

The search engine on the topics on the forum is really bad. I myself have gone looking for posts that I had seen before and I cannot find them.

I'm glad you brought this up. It gets really dang old seeing the same questions over and over and over. It's called point farming because otherwise, people would actually ask original crap. Once I even saw the same exact person ask the SAME exact question in less than one month. I say something when I seee this. People need to mention it, call them out and they're less likely to do it. When I said something to them like "did you realize you asked this exact same question less than a whole month ago?" I noticed the person did not do that again, and while they did continue making numerous pointless threads daily, they did start asking original questions. LOL.

I love the forums for fun chat and just discussion in general, but how many freaking times do we have to see "what's your favorite toy color?" PUH-LEASE!

I noticed this too, I understand being indecisive, because I am too but some posts seem really random and off the wall. I wonder if some people are just bored or lonely and want people to chat with. Thats ok with me too because I like chatting

Contributors should not be messaging or contacting anyone about their participation unless you are a mentor to the contributor in question. Anything else is simply rude.

It is neither fair, nor friendly to approach someone and assume you know what their intentions are and we strongly recommend new users report any contributor who does decide to chastise them for their behavior on the forums or anywhere else.

We are all adults here and we are one of the few forums on the internet trying to create a viable community. Accusing someone of point farming, either directly or indirectly could cause the community to lose a valuable member.

If you see suspicious behavior you are to report it to an admin for them to investigate.

I did not mean to offend anyone and I did not mention any thing about point farming. If I offended you I'm sorry but sometimes reading the same post over and over again sometimes just bugs me personally. Once please accept my aplology if you were offended. 2 Grand

SO TRUE! It is not a easy website to nagivate. I've been here for over a year and I still am an amateur EF follower; perfect example, this question was brought up under the Anal Toy category? Why? You'd never intentionally find it and its the same for the cafe, the Personal Stores, and the Forums they are very poorly organized. Sorry for the Anally retentive Virgo rant perspective,

hahaha, that is ironic.

I think sometimes if it isn't on the first page or two, I don't know it exists. I know I have likely been guilty once or twice of a re-post.

Maybe some of us have a different definition for "via community." Because the crap we see day and day out isn't it, and it's not gotten better despite all efforts.

I usually do a search before I create a discussion. As others have said, the search function on this website isn't that great (no offense; I'm sure someone put a lot of effort into it, but it's not there yet, IMO).

I use google. Did you know you can type any search term(s) into Google search and end it with site:edenfantasys.com --and you will see results on your search only from the EF site? I use this a lot and it works great.

My general attitude towards points is that yeah, I want them--but I want to give something valuable in return (I hope this post is worth 5 cents, lol). As for other contributors, I tend to give the benefit of the doubt.
