Been searching for a non threatening anal plug got a few on my list and yeah some of the reviews said they were comfy for long term wear. I'm new to the them as well but I think it's the stimulation factor.

A lot of time anal stimulation on it's own is quite pleasurable. Keeping a butt plug in (or anal beads if you prefer) while you do normal daily things such as cleaning/cooking/shopp ing (it's *so hot* to wear one outside) can provide erotic stimulation on it's own.

I personally dont get any kick out of just letting an anal toy sit there. Im not a fan of having my ass stretched like that unless Im stimulated by it. Sometimes I find if Im not moving the toy even slightly, my ass can sting. When I say sting - it really stings. Same thing if I pull a toy totally out and try to re-insert it or another toy. I believe in drowning in lube so its not a lack of it...lol.
Other times, theres no issues at all.

I have a few butt plugs, but I have only ever used them for double penetration purposes. As others have said, the purpose of wearing them long-term can, among other things, help to "acclimate" you to the sensation of being penetrated anally, which in turn can make anal sex less uncomfortable/painful and much more pleasurable!

Some people have already listed so reason but let me add another advanced reason beyond DP: Some have a base you can put a bullet vibe in and you can have some fun with this example: Put in a remote controlled bullet vibe in it and have your partner control it while your out. Put in the club vibe and have it response to the sounds around you. Plenty of possibility beyond DP.

I don't know how common it is but personally I don't wear my plugs longer than 2-3 hours. I put them in and use it for anal stimulation alone with a clit vibe. I love anal play so much that its hard for me not to play with myself and just leave it in. I have left a plug in to go out and do some errands. I prefer when the toy moves when I move to provide stimulation as I walk otherwise I wear it only for masturbation. Sometimes I use it at the same time as my partner penetrates my vagina.
