I started with silicone and now prefer the N Joy stainless plugs. They do cost more but worth it. Doesn't retain odors, debris, easier to clean and should last a lifetime. You have to try different ones to find what you like the most. Everyone's anatomy is different. The weight of the NJ pure plugs also give added sensations. Also I've found one can wear the kidney shapes much longer than the long pointed plugs. Of course glass is easy to maintain and less expensive than stainless.

Thanks for your input (a little accidental humor
I have some NJoy toys - the plug and the wand. Love them but interestingly, the reason I want to find a glass plug is I was being checked out in a functional medicine scan by my chiropractor and he found I had a reaction to nickel that was affecting my prostate! Nickel is an ingredient of stainless and I had been using my NJoy plug for extended wear. Amazing to me, anyway. I looked at the Neptune, Royal Ripple and Tulip as alternatives.
