So, I want to try anal with my husband but before when we've tried it hurts really bad and we have to stop. So what's a good toy to start out with to maybe help make things a little easier for me?

Easing into anal play can take time so take things slow. Figures are good for starting out, you have then and can add more as you feel comfortable. Small size anal toys work too just keep to those with a good safe base. The main thing is start small and work up in size as you feel comfortable. Also a good quality lube will help a bunch. When you get to a point where you can take a toy the size of him you can then work at anal sex.

Pay attention to what your body is telling you, if it hurt or becomes uncomfortable stop and try something smaller. Anal play should not hurt when done right. One of the hardest parts is learning to relax the anus, especially when someone else is doing the driving be it a toy or penis.

Think big - start small If you want to get into the anal play area with comfort and ease I guess the best thing is to start with smaller dildo like the:

Blush UR3 Anal Starter

or a silicone alternative:
Sedeux Please

To grow up I'd suggest:
Pure Skin Player jr

The silicone alternative is:
VIP Super Soft

For Butt Plugs:

The best training of all times (after you grow out of the beginners toys):
Triple Ripple

Best Butt Plug (I guess many will agree):
Ryder

And finally my personal favorite among plugs:
Gapers Organic

Generally speaking that's my product advice. For lubes you have to look for yourself what suits you more. Just don't use silicone lube on silicone toys, it really kills them. The rest as usual, hygiene, foreplay, foreplay, lube -> and plenty of fun

A lot of what can be uncomfortable or painful during anal intercourse has a lot to do with the friction of tight and tense anus and an over eager top. Definitely start of with a smaller toy and work up. I would suggest two sizes of butt plugs. Those could be worn while fooling around with other activities and allow butt time to relax a bit. The hardest part of anal at first is relaxing and not tensing up. Experiment by yourself so that you are more familiar with your body and comfortable when together.

I started with Icicles No. 2 and lots of lube. The great thing about this toy is that you can start small and work your way up without having to buy tons of different toys. The one bad thing about it though is because it is glass it doesn't have any give to it like silicone or something else would. I wish you luck as you can achieve anything with patience and lube!
