Length of an anal toy is mostly personal preference besides when something is extremely long (to me this is 10 inches or more). Some people enjoy deeper stimulation and some people don't. I think 5 inches of insertable length on the COLT would be a great length to start with. The curve should face towards your belly button to provide stimulation to the prostate. Also don't forget a good lube, something thick and long lasting works best. (I recommend Maximus). Because the toy you are looking at is plastic with a rubber-cote, keep in mind that it can't be sterilized. This is fine for one person use, but sharing would require a condom.

I'm with Bulma--I think the Colt would be an excellent first choice. Personally, I had a long, hard road getting into anal penetration. I finally got the Julie Ashton Anal Beginner kit, which helped ease me into the sensation very gradually. It's not the highest quality, and I wouldn't even consider using the plugs without a condom, but it definitely helped me get over my initial fears and hesitations. A kit with graduated plugs is definitely a good idea, though.

Good advise from both of you. I too had that anal beginner kit once because I liked the vibrator it comes with. The toy you've chosen is ideal for a beginner. As you go along you'll graduate to bigger and better things.

Before you try any toys, play around a bit with your fingers. Use a good lube, and see what's up there, where everything is, ans what feels good to press on, rub, etc. Once you do that, you'll know what kind of things you like and can choose a toy that fits. If you put the curve of a toy forward it will tend to stimulate the prostate more - check with your finger to see if you like this sensation (the prostate feels like a bump a couple inches up in the rectum on the front side (towards your belly).

One thing to keep in mind is that the anus and rectum can be sensitive to things in sex toys or lubes- so be prepared to try a couple different options if things don't feel good. If you don't have lube yet, you might want to look for something glycerin free (such as Maximus), or if you have oil-lube-tolerant toys Boy Butter works well, too.

The Power-T looks like it would be a decent starting toy, but you'll probably have to hold it in, and it's going to be stiffer than a silicone or jelly toy, so you'll want to be aware of how hard you're poking it in (I once slightly bruised myself through over-exuberant use of a hard toy).

Bravo on having the courage to try anal stimulation, though, and best of luck!

I am a new user of this page, recently bought couple of toys from here. I just need some help from people with more experience than me. I get so excited when me and my husband are having sex and I rube this anal hole. He told me once that he does not feel comfortable do it, and I explain to him that the makes me more excited and wanting more sex. Now, how do I convey my husband to start using anal toys, I would love to insert one of these toy while we are having intercourse. Can anyone help me, does anyone here went thru this?

You're going to have to go very slow since he's indicated that he isn't ready for anal stimulation. Don't buy anything yet unless you want to use it on yourself, and don't push him too hard.
Do you like anal stimulation? Perhaps having him stimulate you. Ask him why he's not comfortable with having his anus stimulated, but don't badger him about it over and over.

My hubby's the same way. I haven't gone for contact because we talk about everything and when I asked, he said he wasn't comfortable.. D: I'm hoping that with time, he'll warm up to the idea. Good luck to you! And remember- patience is key.

Perineum and buttock stimulation is a good way to start, too. Don't give him a surprise with your finger or a toy - the psychological reaction will be so strong he won't enjoy it.

Talk is very important.
