Honestly, I'd go with a set of silicone beads instead. Easier to clean and better for your body (I wouldn't want a porous nylon cord in my bum!). Flexi Felix was my first anal toy, and I love it. Here are some more silicone beads, if you're interested.

I agree. Silicone has a bit more give than acrylic.

I'd question the choice of beads if you're really a first-timer. A bead stick, plug, or small dildo/probe is much easier to use and more stimulating.

Do get silicone. It's easy to keep clean, flexible (so you won't poke yourself) and will last you forever.
