Fingers (with trimmed nails or gloves on) and lube are really all you need at the start to figure out if you like anal. No need to invest in butt plugs and such until you are sure you want to go there.

Start slow. Seriously, start slower than you think you need to. Anal is all about warming up the nerve endings and muscle tissue. A nice massage along the outside with just fingers is a good starting point. Then you can try gently, slowly, and with lots of lube, inserting one finger. Once you've had a couple sessions just with fingers, move up to a small sized butt plug.

It's a bit concerning that you mention giving your man what he wants but not anything about what you'd like. Exploring with just fingers can help you figure out if anal is something you will enjoy or not. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT go from zero to sixty and try anal penetration with a cock during your first anal attempts. This is one way that many people get turned off to anal early on- they begin to associate it with the pain of trying something too large too fast. Anal done right isn't supposed to hurt.

Agree with Rawhide completely.

Start small, start slow. I suggest trying small toys, like beads and small plugs, and working your way up to anal dildos or probes before actually having anal sex. It's one thing to have something in your ass, it's an entirely different thing to thrust with it! That was a big step for me.

This should go without saying, seeing as the rectum does not create it's own lubrication, but some people seem to think that vaginal lubrication or spit will suffice; it won't. Use lube. Use lots and lots of lube. Rule of thumb: when you think you've used enough, use more.

Experiment with angles and positions until you find what feels good to you. I find that the wall that separates the rectum and vagina is incredibly sensitive, so I enjoy a lot of pressure there. Figure out what you like first, so your partner will know how to please you.

If it hurts, you're doing something wrong - you should stop and slow down or try again some other time. Don't just grit your teeth and bear it. Sex is meant to be a pleasurable experience for both lovers, and when done right, anal is immensely pleasurable for all involved.

If you're worried about anal being "dirty", make sure you've had a full bowel movement earlier that day and/or give yourself an enema beforehand. You can find more information on enemas around the site, and EF sells enema kits.

I'm impressed! First time I see a young reviewer with so much knowledge on anal play!

Curious to know, what language is that on your profile headline? Care to share?

Again I recommend farming the Forum for anal toy specific threads - there are 640 of them link

I like well tapered toys in glass and metal because they are smooth and you can use silicone lube (which you cannot with silicone toys).

Happy hunting!

You need to learn to enjoy and learn to trust. Start with lubricated external play, learn that you can enjoy it, and learn that it doesn't hurt. Then go with something small and well lubricated, and work up a bit.

Once you're ready to try partner play you need to start over again with external play - it's someone else, and you need to learn to trust them. If you don't know 100% that you can trust them to go slow and stop if needed you shouldn't do any anal play with them. Even if you convince yourself that you can probably trust them, your butt will know otherwise.
