Are you inquiring as to whether or not a finger is long enough to reach the prostate? I looked it up and found this information:
"You should be able to feel your prostate about two inches in and toward your belly. It is often a walnut-shaped bump. Some men will know when they are touching it, others won’t notice much at all."

you should be ok with the Graduate...BUT(T)...be careful because it's not flared. True, it is bent, but it could still get sucked up if you're not careful.

A good curved dildo is like a sledgehammer to the smaller toy's tack hammers . It's hard to miss with a dildo.
You can usually find your prostate easier when you're very excited, especially when you're near orgasm. It gets much firmer, and you'll feel it as a pronounced bump in the front of the rectum (towards the penis). Fingers should be plenty long, otherwise it would have been noted in medical literature.

I have the bent graduate, and I use it sometimes to get right at my prostate. It finds it very well and I have had some pretty awesome orgasms as a result. As to the toy getting sucked in...I really don't think so, the curve makes that an unlikely event no matter which end you are using. It would be very painful to put that thing in deep enough to actually risk it getting sucked up. Just because a toy lacks a flared base doesn't necessarily make it dangerous for anal use.
