Depends on the material the toy is made of. Something a little more forgiving can be a little larger. Max I would say 2.

I have discovered that the widest part of the toy is less important for me than the neck. The widest part only plays a role in insertion which I generally only do once per session.

Judging from the toys you have used anally, what diameter do you feel is the best combination of comfort and stimulation for you? For the purposes of this poll, assume the toy is smooth and does not vary drastically in diameter along its length, and choose that which is closest to your favourite diameter, rounding down.
