It's similar to using a toy with silicone skin, metal, or glass, only lighter in weight. It will not crack, unless it's been severely damaged beforehand.

Namelesschaos wrote a very detailed review on the Romp, he never complained about the plug causing tailbone pain.

Plenty of other rigid toys are used anally as well as being popular for other types of sex toys, including glass and metal. The ever popular Pure Plugs are solid stainless steel.

Well, for me, who is starting to like my glass toys, I'd say wood wouldn't be a problem since it is similar in the rigid department, but i still wouldn't use wood, since it's too different for me.
