What is the best dildo for practicing oral sex and deepthroating?

Contributor: moomoo89 moomoo89
I want something small, flexible, and has little or no smell. The only ones with no smell at all would probably be glass or wooden ones, but they are not bendable or flexible, which makes deepthroating very difficult. So I was looking at this Dildo called Silicone Crystal Cote by California Exotic, link. It's made of TPR Silicone, but I have no way of telling how bendable or flexible it is. Can anyone who has used it tell me if it's bendable? Or can anyone recommend me a dildo that's good for practicing oral?

Captivating topic discussions on Oral sex enhancers:

humming
When going down on my wife I will sometimes surprise her by humming. It is not like humming a song or anything like that, but rather it just creates.

Do you use flavored lube?
If so, what flavors and what brands?

How often do you give oral?
HAve often do you give oral when you are going to have intercourse?

Too Much! Please Please Stop!
Have any of you woman ever done so much/ so deep, he begs you to stop? Do you enjoy hearing him cry Enough, enough ? Does he enjoy it...

Nipples or clitoral stimulation?

I just need to say that if you want to do this, go ahead. But, IMO, giving a man a Blow Job has little in common with trying to DT a dildo.

A Man grows and shrinks, both in length and girth according to his arousal and you get input from his voice and his movements. Flesh is usually more forgiving and more pliable (even when hard) than even the most "realistic" artificial materials. The feedback alone from an other human is different. Many women and men can do much more with a responsive lover, orally, than they can with any toy. The changes in a penis as a man approaches orgasm are appreciated, in my experience, even more strongly while giving head, than even during PIV sex.

I can usually go all the way "balls deep" on My Man, who is pretty well endowed. But, I can't get a like-sized dildo more than a few inches into my mouth. If I were you, I’d go for something shorter than the real thing - but probs not slimmer because it’s easier to take in a wider shaft. They are just really different. (It is also very different than masturbating with a dildo or phallic vibe, most of the toys are designed for vaginal use (although most CAN be used orally) and as far as my experience, vaginal toy use is CLOSER to the real thing, although not at all identical, than ORAL toy use.)

IF you have a boyfriend/husband/love r to practice on, I'd recommend that. Your man may or may not like what you have been doing on a dildo, and the response is completely different. The feedback you get with a Blow Job is very instrumental in getting it on well. Also, you tend to loose more of your gag reflex as you become sexually aroused, and many women find that that kind of arousal works better while practicing on a real man. (I have little or no gag reflex, but still seem to have a small one when large toys are concerned. IMO, the experience is SO different.)

I'm not telling you NOT to do this with a toy, but giving head to a toy is not only totally different than giving head to a man, I'd say vaginal penetration with a toy is MUCH closer to the real thing than oral penetration with a toy. I don't know why, perhaps, with oral, the skills are REALLY dependent on your lover's responses. Some guys like fast movement, some like slow, some like swirling the head and shaft, some hate this. Also, a lot of us find it much more difficult to Deep Throat an inatimate object and only learned to give head on the real thing.

My concern is you might get disappointed, if you can't do much or go far with the toy. It is really different with a man. I wouldn't want you to think, "I can't give head. I can't DT." Please just keep that in mind that the experiences are very different and that it may actually be EASIER to give a good BJ to a living man than a toy. I don't want you to get discouraged.

Anyway, your mileage may vary, but keep in mind that the two experiences are very different, and feedback in oral sex is often even more important for your skill learning than anything.

Good luck! I hope things work out well for you. If you are going to go with a toy at first, I'd recommend either medical grade silicone (Not TPR) or any Cyberskin. It's closer to the Real Thing than anything else.

Silicone should be pretty close to no smell as well, and it's flexible. VixSkin's supposed to be amazing if you've got the money.

I say silicone all the way. We've never had a taste with any of our Vixen Creations or Tantus dildos - both would be a great choice. I'm with P'Gell - it's not much of the same, but if you just want it because you find oral sex sexy, go for it. It's why we do it.

We use our VixenCreations Mistress or the Tantus Buzz/Vamp the most for deepthroating. The Vamp is probably the "cheapest" good silicone dildo that resembles the size of a regular penis, but it's also slightly sparkly for vampire resemblence. It's the first one we tried since the price is so reasonable.

Thanks for all your posts and suggestions guys. I got the Tantus Vamp dildo and I really like it. It's softer than most silicone toys and it's very realistic and good for performing oral on.

From my experience, the best dildos for practicing oral sex are the softer, slimmer and shorter ones with a suction cup - they’re super comfortable, allow for many different angles and (most importantly) keep your hands free.
This funky beauty is a fantastic choice - realistic, silky, without a drastic curve so it's comfortable to deep throat - and the size is perfect average.

Quick update on this fun discussion - we've recently got a new product that, I believe, would be perfect for practicing oral on it. The Dual Density Luminosity is very peculiarly coated - its inner layer is hard and unyielding, while the outer layer is very soft and pliable. This cool detail makes your experience as close to the real thing as possible since the real-life penis has the same feel to it. The length and girth is the perfect average, slightly on the larger side, so it can get your mouth trained well.

I agree with GingerAnn, the dual density dildos are great for training deepthroating because they are pretty penis-like due to the presence of soft and firm layers. And they are flexible enough which makes insertion into a throat much easier.

It seems to me that Dual density silicone dildo and Dual density stud could be great options for practicing oral sex as well as Luminosity

Wow, so many useful advice! It is a surprise to me that the dildo could be used for practicing oral! Never thought about dildos in that way, but I like the idea!

I've tried a few different dildos for practicing oral sex, but I have to say, it is not the same thing as a real penis. But anyway it can be quite helpful to upgrade your oral skills
