i always like the stranger colored ones. Not really sure why. Otherwise they look kinda creepy if they're too life like but not close enough.

I never use skin tone colors and I don't use realistic dildos at all as my partner is always available so I've no use for them. I honestly do not find them attractive at all!

I chose a purple Tantus Curve for my first pegging dildo. I went with colors and semi-realistic because I wasn't quite comfortable with my bi-side and felt self-conscious about wanting a realistic. Though I really do enjoy the shimmering shifting colors of the pearlescent Curve. The mixed colors of the O2 Revolution look like they would be very pleasing to gaze at.

After long conversations with my wife I am comfortable with the fact that I really want a realistic and we both want an Outlaw. We both love the looks of the head and its shape more than any other realistic. An O2 Revolution is on the way, another color, but a particular size and squishiness was the number one priority. Something half way between the Curve and the Outlaw. Couldn't find a realistic in the desired dimensions or I would have went with it.

Even though I can't really see them in use, I agree with Qliq, about staying close to the true sexuality experience. We are pegging after all, to satisfy my bi tendencies, while protecting and maintaining a monogamous, hetero, quarter century marriage.

As long as it gets the job done, I could care less about what color it is.

I have one realistic (skin toned) dildo and my others are various colors. Depending on my mood I like both but I probably would go for the rainbow colors first.

I like the more abstract or funny colored ones...for some reason I find the flesh colored, veined and very realistic ones kind of creepy-like Jack the Ripper decided to leave me a present in my sock drawer.

I'm turned off by realistic dildos. In the store I work at, I get to stare at a giant wall of them and just think "ewwww"

I only have one traditional "realistic" dildo, but it's the Mistress Vibe Kit, so it's not even really realistic. It's teal, and the only detail is something like a head. Everything else I own is glass or shaped totally different like Ella. I prefer my toys to be pleasing to the eye.

If I wanted a flesh-toned realistic penis, I'd just to find my lover and use his.

I love bright colors for dildos, but personally, I'm not too into realistic dildos, although the reviews of Vixskin and O2 have been tempting me...the squishiness sounds fun! I just imagine holding a realistic dildo in my hands and being weirded out that it isn't attached to anyone - especially the realistic ones with balls- although I never have that thought when I think about colorful sex toys. Maybe someday I will really want one, who knows! It's been really cool to read people's opinions on realistic color/non-realistic, though. So many things I hadn't considered!

I perfer colored toys, compared to skin like toys because I think it is more fun, and also they are pretty. Some can look awkward, but it all depends on the color it is made in.

Truthfully, as long as it's not bright pink or orange, I don't mind what color it is. As long as it feels good, it's not really like I'm going to be looking at it while I'm using it. I guess if you do, that might be an issue, but it's not one of my top priorities. There is something to be said for a blue dildo, though.
