If you aren't lubed up enough, there could be a little bit of pain. Many, many a reviewer fell in love with this toy...so it really does depend on the person.

Not necessarily. The texture is not intense, like bumps on glass dildos, but it can still be felt in use. The suckers are not very deep, so you should not feel much pain. I think the shape stretching you out would be more painful than the suckers! Even so, it's gradual enough to not be too bad.

Stormy was right, though - lubricant is a must.

I'd say it depends on each person but you can look at the reviews for this & see that it's received very high ratings which would indicate no pain.
