How do you choose? - Amethyst, Bent Graduate, Icicles No. 31, G-Spot Pink

Contributor: DiscretionAdvised DiscretionAdvised
Amethyst
Bent Graduate
Icicles No. 31
G-Spot Pink

Has anyone ever had all 4 of these in the possession at the same time? Given that they are all within a few dollars of each other, How would you ever choose which one to buy without knowing the differences?

I guess you would just go with whichever one was in stock in your favorite color and was the cheapest, but I'd love to see a side-by-side comparison between all 4.

There might be slight size differences between them. From what I've read, the Icicles is slightly larger than the rest. The main difference is the price, color selection, and the packaging. I like the Amethyst because it comes in a velvet pouch. The pouch isn't padded but it's better than nothing.

True, true. Pouches are nice.

What about the point on the G-spot end? I've read some complaints about it. I wonder if one of them is less pointy than the others.

My understanding is that they're all basically the same toy (the Icicle seems to have a slightly different shape, and keep in mind that glass toys do tend to have slight variations between each individual piece). I chose the Bent Graduate because, at the time, it came with a padded storage pouch, so for the price it was the best deal. I hear that they don't do that anymore, though. Otherwise I'd just weigh in which one came in a color I liked the best against the price. Eden sells padded pouches anyway, if I really needed one.

I only had the Amethyst but I'd like to get my hands on another one of those since I sold it.

I've never had an issue with the head of the Amethyst being "pointy" but then again, I'm not that sensitive. It's all personal preference but the Icicles does seem to be the most pointed head of the four.

I have the bent graduate and I love it. I haven't had any of the others though, sorry.

Thanks for all the input. I'm hoping to pick up either the Amethyst or the Bent Graduate in blue as my first piece of glass.

I'll probably wait a bit though. I would have snagged one of the Bent Graduate Facebook specials last week for $9, but it was only in pink.
