I have one and really enjoy using it with the suction cup attached to my shower. After only a few uses though, the suction cup is starting to tear off. Has anyone experienced this problem before or did I just get a bad one? I'd love to try it again if its not an ongoing problem

Insightful topic debates on Suction Cup Dildo:

Which suction cup toys really work?
I recently discovered the joys of suction cup toys. Unfortunately, some of the toys that are sold with suction cups don't really work. The suction..

Yay or nay? What do you say?

Do suction cups really work?
I have heard of people using the suction cups on the bottom of their dildos and attach them to something so they can ride them. Has anyone actually...

Which dildos can be used with the Tantus suction cup?
I have a Tantus suction cup, but so far only have one toy that can be used with it. I really like suction cup toys, but not all of the Tantus toys...

Merciless Suction Cups!
Are these suction cups the nightmare of all suction cups? Will they grip to absolutely anything? These sound great! Do they suction to a wet surface?...

I had another dildo, not that one, with a suction cup and had a similar issue. From what I can tell it may just be how those toys are molded. Unfortunately it seems that the suction cup and dildo are two seperate pieces that are then attached together making it all too easy for separation to occur. I guess just be careful with it. I do wonder if some more expensive suction dildos are not as prone to breakage...

I have a pineapple one, and I have not had any problems with the suction cup.

I'm having trouble getting mine to stay put on vertical surfaces (shower wall, headboard), it'll stick for maybe a minute, but continuously pops off. It has no problem staying suctioned to horizontal surfaces, though. Any tips? This is my first suction cup and I don't know if maybe I'm doing something wrong.

I don't have any suction cup toys myself, but from my limited experience with suction cup organizers, etc., you want a clean, smooth, dry surface to create the best suction. When you use a toy with suction on a vertical surface, remember that you're also fighting gravity (insert boring physics explanation here involving torque and other things no one wants to read about on this thread), so you want the best suction possible. Personally, I've had very limited success with suction cups in general, so maybe * I'm * doing something wrong

Check your tile.

Textured tile is impossible to make anything stick to.

I was thinking about that after my initial post, that's probably the problem. There isn't a surface in this house that isn't textured. Damn.

I had the problem of it not wanting to stick because it was rather heavy.

I had a cheap silicone dildo with a suction cup that I ended up using stuck to a chair, because I too realized that it was hard to find a surface it would stick to at a pleasant angle. It sits at the bottom of my toy box, waiting for me to do something hilarious with it.

It might not be so good for sex, but think of all the places you COULD stick the thing for much hilarity! I've considered using it as a hat or coat rack, but I suspect that I will place it strategically on a large bus stop ad or some similarly hilarious public place, take a picture, and run like hell. I know where there's a photograph of a Chipotle burrito that could use some spicing up. Decorate a friend's car! or an enemy's! The possibilities are endless!

On a more practical note, I got myself a Liberator Wing, which is great for holding my dildo still for me at whichever angle I choose. Much more versatile than a suction cup (though I wouldn't take it in the shower), and I can swap in and out most of my dildos without needing a suction cup to attach to the bottom of each of them. No regrets.

I'd recommend buying a less cheap suction dildo. Sounds like what you are explaining is the typical problem of cheap products. Had a few like that. Only sticking to things 35+ now.

THe 2 that I have, the suction doesn't even work. I get so pissed when I try and attach it to something, and it falls of the wall. I hate those things.

Agreed. If they're just to separate pieces molded together, it's going to tear easily no matter what.
