Oily discharge from my dildo? oO

Ok, I was able to brush it off the first time I saw it, but when I saw it 4 more times I admit I became confused.

My Mr. Right seems to produce a strange, oily discharge right where the shaft meets the balls.

My Mr. Right has ball sweat.
Buh -?

I don't think I've ever heard of a dildo secreting fluid. I'm not too terribly concerned, I'm just intellectually curious. What is this stuff? 'Silicone oil'? I didn't think it was actually possible for a silicone dildo to secrete silicone oils, although I knew the silicone oils were there....

I second your emoticon: oO, and raise you "what the frak?"

I couldn't be your own sweat? Maybe molecules incompletely bonded?
Ask Vixen about it. Maybe you'll get a replacement.

The first time I saw it, it was before I even used it. I had just recieved it, and taken it out of the box briefly to admire it. I plunked it back in the box, lidded it, and went back to work, when I returned home, it had the discharge. It's like a film of scentless, slightly oily stuff just right at the joint where it bends. Peculiar.

I've owned it for a few months, and really only notice it on occasion. It seems to take some time for it to accumulate. I don't know, I didn't even realize it *WAS* a defect, I just had no idea what it was.

Well, I'm really not sure but, I'll give you my suggestion.....I do know that silcone toys should not be stored with silicone toys because they can damage each other.....Is there any way that the dong part is touching the balls during storage? That might be your problem... This is just a theory.....

There's no way it's touching other toys -- like all products from Vixen, it comes with its very own box. Because Mr Right is the most delicate VixSkin toy I own (3x floppier than Raquel, any day of the week), I keep it in its little cube.

As far as the dong part touching the balls? Yes. The phallus is droopy, that's part of the design. Unless I make it a wee little pillow, it'll always be touching the balls. (which may be amusing enough to do in its own right).

On second thought -- the oil should be everywhere the balls and dong touched, shouldn't it? In the box, the shaft essentially rests on the balls, but I've only seen the oil right at the little part where the shaft and balls join.

I would contact Vixen. I own a Mr. Right, and have never had that type of issue with it...

Actually, I did yesterday -- after the first few replies, I realized that it was abnormal. Until this thread, I just figured it was simply not something I'd seen before.

I was just too embarrassed to post 3x in a row in my own thread. *cough*

I'll comment again when they reply to me. Hopefully this thread will still be on the front page.

Solved ! (?) Vixen emailed me back:

"If your Mr. right is new it is just silicone (same type used in silicone lubes). Nothing to worry about."

I gather since the squishy layer is made of of regular silicone mixed with silicone lubricant, that some nonbonded stuff just leeched out. So I was kinda right?

That's still odd. Even though it's softer silicone (and it isn't just silicone mixed with silicone lube), it should not be leaching anything. I would ask them for a replacement.

Hi. Is your Mr. Right packer the exact same color as the one on this website or is it lighter in color? (The Vanilla colored one.)

I answered your question in my profile, but I'll post here too, just in case.

I actually own the chocolate color, but I've seen the vanilla color irl at Babeland. On my computer screen, the color is truly represented, but it's hard to say if your computer screen displays color the same way mine does.

I had the same problem a few months ago. I contacted Vixen, and after a few lengthy replies, I eventually got them to replace it. Might be worth pushing for that!

Could the balls touching the shaft really cause damage to the Mr. Right?

No. Cured silicone will not bond with itself. The only things you have to watch out for are uncured silicone (including some lubes) and physical damage.

The film could have something to do with the mold release (manufacturing mold, not alive mold).

oooh are you sure it doesnt have phlatates or whatever in it? They add it to silicone to make it softer(some companies) and potetially dangerous

Hi @spiking glue,

Your silicone sex toy should NOT be doing this. The ball sweat you are seeing is a secretion of phthalates, a harmful chemical found in some sex toys. Over time during use, sex toys that have phthalates mixed in them will start to degrade and break down. Do not use this sex toy. This is caused by chemical degradation of the toy material, which occurs naturally over time. If used frequently, it can damage the can damage the liver, kidneys, lungs, and reproductive system. One person who has done this a tested to having a "rash" on their genitals and urinary tract, but later found that it was from severe chemical burning. The best I can suggest is get a refund or trash it, and get checked out if you develop symptoms of urinary tract infection or rashes.
