Just sounds painful. Not to mention you have to refrain from penetrative or oral sex while it heals. Not sure how long though.

An actual clitoral piercing is very uncommon. Perhaps you mean a clitoral hood piercing instead?
Hood piercings heal quickly! Mine was not sore after 24 hours, and I felt comfortable having sex within a week, though that was not what my piercer recommended. It is a fun piercing, I love the way it looks, though sometimes it gets annoying and the barbell will rub me raw if I use a vibrator on my clit too long.
