Vixskin care

Just wondering, Vixskin owners.

The Vixskin site does not specifically recommend using Cornstarch for your vixskins. However, I have seen references to it here and there.

Does anyone use cornstarch usually, rarely, or not at all to minimize that stickiness, in between use?

I don't I stick it in the closet open to the air. The stickiness is silicone reacting with oxygen molecules?

Yup, I don't use it either.

The stickiness is the actual silicone. I think that cornstarch can only remove the feeling of tackyness during storage, but does not affect or protect the material at all.

Good! Less to do! I don't even cornstarch the cyberskin and it has lasted a few years so far. Just checking. The stickiness does not bother me really, didn't know what others did. Thanks.

Silicone is pretty durable, so I wouldn't worry about it needing any additional treatment.

Does silicone react to oxygen molecules? Why would this happen? Also, I own Maverick and do not use cornstarch nor would I recommend it.

I don't think I would use cornstarch at all. We store them in the clam shell and tube containers they arrive in. I use antibacterial soap and water for easy cleanng.
