I have nothing to offer about the Mustang - I didn't care for how it looked, so for a beginner toy, I went with Johnny.

The overall firmness of the Johnny dildo is firmer than Maverick. The softer head of the Maverick is more pronounced and does a better job of g-spot stimulation.

There is definitely a technique for using a larger toy than someone is used to. I always start with something that I know she's comfortable with to get her juices flowing.
