Hello, I have recently tried my first wooden dildos. Both were wonderful experiances and I plan on purchasing more. I was wondering what the community thought of wood as a sexual object.

Have you tried it?
Do you like it?
Does it concern you that the wood may not be sealed?
Does the source of the wood concern you?

I haven't tried it, but would certainly be worried about the wood being sealed. Though a quick check before and after use would probably keep you in good shape! You may be able to find a good natural sealant that you can use at home to keep it feeling new.

I am so glad to know your experience using wooden dildos has been wonderful! I find that encouraging! The idea of wood is very appealing to me. I trust that EF has verified that the companies they carry are reputable, using high quality body safe materials. I have no qualms about splinters or such. The reasons I have yet to try wood are the expense and availibility. A couple of nob essence toys I had my eye on were discontinued. So sad! The smooth s shape is the one I currently hope will come back in stock! I'll let you know what I think if I ever get my hands on one!

My dad made fine furniture for a living and always wanted me to "feel the grain of the wood" nothing perverted of course just lol his idea of perfection based on the life of the tree. He'd point to different rings or burls and speculate about the possible storms and droughts.personally I have this strange phobia of anything overly dry and that includes sawdust so I stayed away from his workshop. Actually its more of an aversion and I have it to flour/chalk/dust anything scratchy and dry that would get into my skin. The idea of a wooden dildo bothers make for 3 reasons. wood is too dry. wood gets splinters and wood reminds me of my dad. I'm the kind of girl who gets creeped out by the phrase "who's your daddy" and would kick anyone who said it out of bed. nothing against anyone in a daddy type of dom/sub relationship- I was just too close to my dad to be comfortable with experiencing it myself and have decided to avoid wooden dildos too. is that TMI?

I've never tried one, but I'm curious nonetheless.

I've used wood body jewelry before (plugs for my stretched ears), and the general rule of care is to not get them wet because the wood can swell and splinter/crack as a result. The plugs aren't sealed though, and it's suggested that you oil them with jojoba periodically to keep them in good shape.

I haven't looked into the suggested care for wood toys, but if they're sealed heavily with no chance of the sealant wearing off, I would definitely give them a shot.

What I'd REALLY love to see are bamboo toys. I wonder if bamboo is good enough to be made into toys. The sustainability would make all the difference for me.

Yep. I have one by NobEssence and a few by an independent seller.

The wood is sealed, so I know I have nothing to worry about.

I have a Nob Essence piece and it is beautiful and I love it. I know the wood is sealed, so I don't worry about that.

I have yet to try, and am really iffy if I want to try a wooden... Dildo... Again, never tried it, so don't know if I'll actually like it. Yes, I am concerned if the wood isn't sealed, and yes. I do have big concerns on the source of the wood.

Check these out! link a friend of mine and I are going into the toy industry and it all started cause he made me one. I have had mine for 2 year now and I am so excited to spread the word about the wonders of Wood. We are just starting out but bookmark us, maybe we will be big someday.

We don't have one, but I'd love to see one in action. Seems like it would give a different, less "smooth" feeling than silicone.
