I kinda picture a Hitachi or a Wahl looking less sex-oriented than the Fairy line. The Wahl also has the different heads that would probably work well for massaging different areas of the body.

Absolutely the Wahl Two Speed Seven in One or the Hitachi.
IMO, the Wahl is a better all around toy, but My Man claims the Hitachi (which he has named "The Hibachi" or "The Giant Dildo") is better for muscle cramps. I like the Wahl better for muscle cramps, so when we have a massage marathon, not only do we have the bed covered with toys, but also have massage candles and oils all over.
Have you thought about trying the JimmyJane Afterglow Massage Candles for her? I'd start with the sampler and see which of the aromas she loves the best. That and the Hathor Exotic Love Oil make fantastic oils to rub out muscle aches. My husband and two of my children have neurological issues which cause terrible muscle spasms, and they love all these, the JimmyJane is more for my husband when we're in a romantic mood. I also use the Hathor on him for muscle aches and I even use it on my children when their contractions are too intense to stand, even when the drugs don't work, this oil seems to help work out the spasms.
