Would you ever use a second hand toy?

If it's silicone, and if it belongs to someone who I know is safe.

If silicone yes.

If it's been sterilized, I don't care. I'd never use a jelly or other porous material that has been used though.

if it's completely sterilized, why not? it's not a health risk.

If the toy can be boiled or bleached I have no problem with second hand

It would depend on so many things. If it were someone random, hell no. I'd have to know the person, their sexual past (as in if they had any STIs or the sort at any point), if anyone else had used that toy and the such, what it looked like when first purchased to be sure that the random-yet-stylish line was not a crack potentially hosting bacteria, what safety and sanitation practices were taken with said toy, ect. There would be a large amount of things to go through before remotely considering an already used toy.

If it's sterilizable? Sure, why not.

I have, do, and will. I swap with other friends who are reviewers, and have been known to loan toys to close friends. All of my toys are glass, steel or silicone, and I make sure they are completely sterile before giving them to someone or using them myself. Once you get past the "ick" factor, which is all in your head, it's perfectly fine. I've gotten great toys via swap!

I would go with no, can't help thinking about where it has been, except that I think I might make an exception for an njoy toy. Steel doesn't retain odors.

It really depends on what the toy is...

It might depend on if I know who it was that owned it before, but I probably still wouldn't be able to shake the fact that someone else has used it before me. :s

NO WAY, NO SIR, NO HOW.

Not unless I was sexually active with the person who used the toy, and at that point it's more like sharing than having one secondhand.

I'd only use a second-hand toy if its first owner was my lover even it was a easily sterlizable material.

I would have to know the person quite well, and the product would have to be able to be properly sterilized so I suppose the simple answer is yes. Though, no, I would not buy toys second hand or take any sex toy from someone I did not know quite well and trusted. There is just so many reason that, that is a bad idea.

I'm going for NO. I'm a virgin, and just as much as I care about who I will share my crotch with, I'd care about where the toy has been, is it safe, etc. I see how sharing a soda can make people sick, so can sharing something that actually goes inside of you. Germs can be destroyed but think: ONLY 99.9% actually dies as a result of sterile treatment. Think about the 1% that gets left behind... that mutated and multiplied... that becomes immune to sterile treatment... that are now INSIDE of you. Not how I'd imagine a good time. P.S- for the user that posted a comment about used toys being cleaner than sex, it's not true! If you can get an STD or infection from having actual sex, what's to stop you from catching the same STD or infection from using an infected person's toy? Play it safe and buy a toy with safty features. This will limit contagions and doctor visits for everyone. Like I've said, new beat used esp since everyone's idea of clean is not the same.

I don't think I could ever bring myself to use a second hand sex toy--especially if I didn't know where it had been. If I bought it online etc. If it were my partner's, then that's a different story.
