I have often wondered, when seeing reviews that people have done for lingerie and in the pictures their lingerie arrived on a pretty spiffy hanger. Why so many different packaging options sometimes for the same item? I wonder why I have never gotten lingerie in or on anything other than a plastic bag and plastic hanger. Is there anyone that can answer this for me?
When buying lingerie why are there so many packaging options?

It's packaged according to how the company sells it. I've gotten everything from boxed lingerie to lingerie that was hung on a silk hanger and packaged like it was fragile glass. Part of it depends on the quality of the item and price. From my experience the companies that sell the more expensive items tend to package them as such.

I have gotten plain hangers or pick tissue from Coquette and plain hangers or just a plastic bag from Seven til Midnight. I thought it was Coquette that used the really nice hangers and the item I had was 60 bucks, I think that warrants a nice hanger.

I think that companies switch their packaging types, too. so you can wind up with different packages for similar items from the SAME company. Or even the same items, as was the case with one that I exchanged.
