Corsets and bras?

Contributor: Miss Anonymous Miss Anonymous
I'm looking for some serious boobage. I'm ordering one of those miraculous bras from Victoria secret. It's supposed to make you look 2 full cup sizes bigger. Now, I was wondering could I wear a bra with any of the corsets offered on EF? I noticed that most of the corsets don't offer any real "support"

With overbust corsets that have boning on them, you generally don't have to worry about wearing a bra underneath. Corsets generally don't look good with bras on, unless they have straps integrated into the model, and strapless bras aren't going to be any better than the support most corsets already include, anyway.

It will all depend on the model of corset you're considering. Your best bet is to pick one with plenty of boning (metal boning is best, though some people complain that it's too constraining), and if still in doubt, check the reviews of people who have already got them. Most will be glad to answer questions if you message them, if their review doesn't specify how "supportive" the corsets are. XD

That bra does look amazing, though. Where can you get it, and does it come in plus size? ^^U

Dang, well..
I had my eye on the Fully boned lace and satin corset.
The bras go up to a 38DD.
I was curious about the bra, so I called VS and they said that if I was bigger than a 28 I could just buy bra hook extensions. It will work perfectly. You can get them online at the victoria secret website... Although I just learned that target has the same kind of bra (makes you two sizes bigger) for 16.99 I'm gonna check those out before I place an order.

I wish I could get my hands on this corset.... I wish I had her waist too lol hahahaha

That's a pretty one... though it doesn't seem to be meant for big boobs... or big girls, period. ^^U

It will all depend on the bra. That specific bra does not seem like it will go well with that specific corset due to the fact that the bones go all the way up, but if you get a corset that has bones only on the waist you might manage.

Let me take a second look at the corsets available here and I'll see if I find one that could be a match.

Nope, sorry, all the corset over here seem to be meant to be worn without a bra. They all either already include cups sawn in, or boning to lift you up, but that will probably be uncomfortable with a bra underneath.

I fucking hate the Miraculous bra. I don't even understand why they make that thing in the sizes they do. PLUS, it's not going to be a surprise when you pull off your bra and you have less than half the size boobs that it looks like you do. I guess I understand it for if you have no intentions of meeting a guy or getting naked. But if I were single, I wouldn't be dressing to make it look like I have things I don't - just my two cents. I put on one of those bras and thought it was ridiculous. They measured me after and it made me much larger than two cups sizes bigger. It looked way unnatural and was uncomfortable. I couldn't feel my chest. The picture up there... looks great from the front, but from the side it looks obvious to me.

Anyways...end rant lol. I just hope you have tried the bra on in a store. I wouldn't order it otherwise. I LOVE VS... just bought a fucking awesome bra there yesterday...but the Miraculous is less than awesome to me.

Can you wear a pushup bra under any of the corsets on EF, YUP! I have a ton so let me know which you are referring to in particular.

Every single corset and bustier I've ordered from here I've been able to wear a bra underneath. Some of them might take a little more work to get everything to blend right but really the biggest worry is making sure that the bra "matches" the lingerie you're wearing it with. While I might not endorse the Miraculous bra (because I've never had any experience with it and because changing your cup size that much can affect how you can wear an item) I do recommend a plain black bra. Pushup if you want, but try for something that isn't ridiculous. Unless the "ridiculous" cleavage is what you're going for, but then keep in mind that it still might change the fit of the corset since boning can only follow curves so well.

The reason I recommend black is because it seems as though a lot of the pieces here either have black in them or would go well with black so if the black straps show or the black cups accidentally peek out a bit, it's not the end of the world. Also make sure that the bra fits you properly, especially in the back. It should lay evenly all the way around your bust line, not ride up in the back. If it's laying properly, it's usually pretty easy to tuck into the corset right along the top and isn't usually that noticeable among the lacing.

I can wear bras under all of my corsets, over- and under-bust, plastic or metal boned. They tend to be a lot more comfortable (and a lot better looking!) with a pushup bra on too.
