Itchy lace: Does it bother you?

One of the huge deal breakers for me when buying sexy costumes is the whether it has lace and how cheap that lace is. It's not that cheap lace itches (for some reason it doesn't bother me), I just HATE how it seems to make things that would normally be cute or sexy look tacky or cheap. Does anyone else have this gripe or is it just me?
