Lingerie named after girl names

Contributor: PumpkinPasty PumpkinPasty
You know what I mean. The "Anastasia" or "Stacy" and such.

Have you ever seen one named after a boyfriend's ex and immediately turned away from it because of its name? :p

Yes. My husband's ex has one of the most common names on the planet and every product that has a tie-in to the name gets shunned immediately, regardless of the quality. I even have a hard time associating with people who share her name.

It might bug me but it's also just really weird in general.

I just don't like named lingerie in general. I think it's a little weird but that doesn't stop me from buying it if I really like it.

I haven't had this happen, but I think I probably wouldn't get it if it did.

Arrrgh this has never happened to me, but I would hate it
Right now there's only one name that would really put me off, but I'm sure that number will grow with time, haha!

This never happened to me either but I can totally understand how a name could be such a turn off. The names usually don't bother me much because I care more about the lingerie than what they decided to name it. Ultimately it really doesn't matter to me what it's called! As long as I think it's pretty and it comes in my size I don't care.

That's so weird because the very last thing I done before going to the forum and seeing this was add the Anastasia corset to my cart! Lol. I have always hated real names for clothing. It's like companies run out of ideas. Lately it's been a big trend with jeans too and I totally refuse to buy jeans with names. It feels like wearing someone else's jeans! The anastasia corset is so beautiful though, that I'd give it a try! Plus Anastasia isn't a really common name today so I wouldn't feel to much like I was wearing her corset. Lol. Now brittney jeans or a name like that, no way! People and pets and streets have names, not jeans.
