Come on DreamGirl, there is NOTHING plus sized about that woman.

I am getting very irritated with lingerie companies putting size 5 woman in a "plus sized" piece of lingerie. It's offensive to me...

Don't advertise it as plus sized and have a model the same size as the regular size with bigger breasts...

If that is plus sized, well, then at 5 feet tall and 133 lbs, I guess I'm obese... Because my legs and belly do NOT look like that. She probably wears a size 8 or something. I wear an 11.

ROFLOL - this is bad of me - but when I click on the plus-size option and look at that model - I think they put her in it cause of the size/shape of her boobs...not the rest of her body.

gah! no shit! i commented the same thing on one of the other new pieces of lingerie. the only thing larger about the 'plus sized' model was her fake tits! bigger fake tits!

this is some bullshit. if it were me in charge of things, i'd find a company who doesn't insult its customers' intelligence when modeling their clothing. and buy THEIR products instead to sell to my EF lovelies.

Just thought I would show you something I found. This is a wiki article on plus sized models. It mentions that the average woman is size 14, but plus size models usually go up to size 10 or 12, tops.

No problem. I found a few more disturbing things when I googled 'the size of a plus size model' if you want more.

I will take any and all information others have found. I am in the process of putting together an article for the local paper (and hopefully it will get out to a few others) about this matter. The more sources, the better!

One of the most common problems with plus sized models is that often they are considered 'plus size' merely because they are big breasted. What's worse is those large breasts are often fake, so they can't even accurately show how it would fit most naturally large breasted women.

I hate it when I look at 3x lingerie on a model who is an XS.

You tell it, girl! That is just offensive! It's like they're saying that REAL plus-sized women aren't attractive so they shoved a Skinny Minny in there. That is absolutely NOT true. Big girls are beautiful!

I am guessing you are referring to the other picture, because the one you have linked is the OS size. The PS model looks slightly larger than me, so I guessing she is a size 12ish... not a 5. Semantics... You are still right, I don't consider her plus sized.

On a related note, the OS is really small. It is too small in some spots on me and I'm a size 8...

I got this one in a 2x, and although I'm a little skeptical on it, I have to say I kinda love it on.

I completely agree. It's kind of.... rude? I mean my goodness! What's so wrong with showing it ON a plus size if it's a plus SIZE?! It would be extremely frustrating. I mean, I NEVER see a piece that comes in small, but only shows it on a plus sized woman. That's kind of offensive that some companies do that.

2x? It comes in Os and Ps. Is the PS a 2 x?
