I think they would have their place with certain piece of lingerie, but as a whole we really don't have a strong opinion either way. As others have said, they have to be well designed to provide all the access, not rub or irritate.

My husband loves them... he probably wants me to wear them every single day. I'll usually wear them to please him, but I don't really feel anything special about wearing them. Usually wear them with a mini skirt in the house and out about.

I now know why I'd want panties with a hole in them.
To fucking pee standing up without putting aside the part of the panties between the legs, take it down or lower it on your hips (men's briefs with a buttoned fly opening.)
Except men's briefs' openings/flys don't come low enough (maybe I could use my sewing skills) and most crotchless women's panties are either not designed with this in mind, or just plain uncomfortable and in a material or style I dislike.
Somebody must make pants and underwear for us people of all genders who pee standing up without a biological hanging hose or STP. Like, just add a longer zipper (pants) or longer, wider buttoned crotch hole or fly... how difficult is it? It's not, you underwear industry!
