I don't think lube can help in squirting. What I mean is that it's not the lube that aids in squirting, it's you. You can make her squirt. Lube makes things slippery and slippery in this regard can be a really good thing.
As for the type of lube, there are several different types. There's water based, silicone based, blends of both silicone and water and vegan. Within these types, there are warming, cooling and flavored varieties. Additionally some manufacturers make some lubes in thicker viscosities and they might be marketed for Anal play.
As far as a "Best Way" to use these lubes, I'm not sure I understand the question. Lube should be used as needed. Of course, if you wanna have some fun with lube, you can always grab a kiddie pool and fill it with some lube and wrestle in it.

My favorite lube is either Sliquid Sassy or Slippery Stuff. Slippery Stuff is a gel formula that has no taste and won't drip everywhere. I wouldn't consider this lube sticky, but it is a gel formula, so it may not be what you're looking for. Sassy is a really glossy formula that doesn't get sticky. It's actually designed for anal (but doesn't have numbing agents) so it's likely to stick around longer. It's also pH balanced so it won't irritate your vagina.

And also agree w/ @Inquisitor that lube makes things more slippery but squirting seems to be more of a state of mind than something lube will help with from what I've inferred.
