Most I've asked said they don't really notice a difference in wearing one versus not wearing one. Is that true for you?

I feel that it is there but take the attitude of if you "can't feel anything wearing a condom" then you are not doing it right.

Definitely not. I always notice the difference, and think it's really weird that anyone could NOT notice that. Though I suppose I've never tried any "thin" condoms. Plus, being uncircumcised makes a big difference, since I have phimosis and condom-less sex pulls on my foreskin...whereas wearing a condom usually dulls the feeling for my glans. For those who are circumcised, and have thin condoms that fit perfectly, perhaps they can't tell the difference. But for the rest of us, it's pretty noticeable.

Mr Bignuf cringes when reading this. TRUE...his original "condom use" days were AGES and AGES ago, so what is out there now, verses "in the stone age" is probably pretty different, but even eight years ago, with "new, modern, feel everything" condoms, he had to wear them a few times, since I was on fertility drugs and they want to wait till a precise time to introduce sperm into the reproductive tract (I don't think they are doing that anymore, but anyway....) HE sure noticed a HUGE, HUGE difference in the sensation. No matter how "thin and lubed", he said it was like shaking hands with a surgical glove on. You might convince yourself it is no big deal, but you cannot honestly say "it isn't there".

VERY well put!!!! No matter how thin the glove or condom, you certainly feel a difference!

Absolutely not. Unless I'm wearing a SUPER THIN condom, I almost don't feel anything at all. And even with the really thin ones, I still don't feel much. Honestly, when I have to use a condom during sex, it's hard to keep myself going.

I definitely notice the difference. Condoms thick and thin don't seem to matter either

For me there is a slight difference, but not much. We are long past our condom days, but use them occasionally just for the purpose of a slightly different sensation.

Apparently there is a difference since my husband can usually last upwards of half an hour with a condom on versus ten minutes, if we're lucky, without.

My partner hates them. He says if feels so much better without one! And I have to agree with him. I can feel him a lot better when he doesn't wear one.

Depends on the type of condom, but it does make a difference. On the other hand girls don't really notice a difference and it does feel pretty much the same

I do agree, on average the male performance is usually reduced by 25-30% without a condom since the stimulation is much stronger

My boyfriend and I have never done it without a condom. We have the whole "Don't want babies" thing keeping us going. Our use of condoms isn't based on what feels good, it's more on protection from babies.

Dan Savage once said that many men can't even tell when a condom breaks because it's not like they fly against the wall from the sudden increase in sensation. It just feels more warm/wet to them. Not sure if that's true but I honestly think guys build it up a lot in their minds that it feels WAYYYYYY better without a condom. I have heard my friends have arguments with their boyfriends over wearing one. A lot of guys just like not having to wear one.

To be honest I LIKE wearing them. With some extra lube (outside of course, inside it would break, according to my experience) it creates a lovely slippery sensation during intercourse.
And of couse it makes you feel safer if you don't know your partner very well.

I really like ribbed ones, too.
