Lube?

Contributor: NicNat NicNat
Okay, so I can't use lube internally at all, me and my husband have tried three different types and all of them hurt when they get inserted.
We have tried - Wet strawberry kiwi, H2O, and KY. All of them can be inserted but they hurt when I do it.

Does anyone else have this problem? or am I just to sensitive down there?

If you know of any lubes that might work, please let me know.

You might have a glycerin sensitivity or something similar. Here is a search I did for water-based lubes that are glycerin- and paraben-free, and you can narrow the search further using the options to the left of the page if you like.

I'm not usually sensitive to glycerin, but I normally stick with Sliquid's products. They're hypoallergenic and popular with people who are sensitive.

As mentioned there could be a glycerin sensitivity or some other ingredient in all 3 that is bothering you. Have you tried lube and water-based?

The Sliquid Organics Gel seems like a really nice one! I just got mine the other day and I have yet to try it out.

If it hurts - it hurts - stop using them (and don't go near jelly toys!).

The lube we use is an all organic oil-based formulation that we love. It's great for sexual activity and even for giving massages. The company also has a water-based product. - here's the link - good luck. link

This lube looks awesome. I looked it up and did some research and looked up some reviews and ordered some. I've been hearing a lot of horror stories about lubes and it made me think about a yeast infection and a BV infection I've had in the last year and I had used lubes other than my usual lube immediately prior to both incidences. I started looking in to the lube I typically use and although I've never had anything unhappy occur in conjunction with using it, I'm concerned by a lot of the contents now. I can't wait to try Yes.

no I haven't had that problem...maybe try an organic lubricant like the sliquid brand?

This is a good water based lube. link I've never had any issues with it. And I am very sensitive! Anything by sliquid should be safe.

I have similar problems sometimes with lubes that have glycerin in them. I have found that the Sliquid Organics line does not give me any problems (and also doesn't leave the sticky mess afterwards).A couple of the Sliquid lubes also have sample sizes available here on EF. Even if the issue is not Glycerin for you, it might be another chemical, and going with an organic line will help take most of that out. Hope you find something that works for you.

In addition to the type, perhaps you did not use enough. There is a tool called a lube launcher. It is like a syringe that gets the lube all the way into your vagina, deep enough so that there are no dry spots. I am very dry down there until I have had an orgasm, so to start out, I need lube in me and on the toy, so that there is no friction.

Before the lube launcher, we just started off with lots of lube and slow fingering to be sure that I was well lubricated before the more vigorous activity.

I am sensitive to certain lubes as well, and through trial and error, I find that Pink Water and astroglide work best for me. Hope this helps

You're not too sensitive. Everyone's body is different, and yours is just picky. Try getting little sample packs of lube to see which one works best with your body, and then use it religiously.

I've used a store brand lube before that burned as soon as I would apply it but,now I use Maximus and it's working out fine for me.

I'm a little late to the discussion, but I get the same sensation when I use lube with glycerin in them.

Probe is probably the best as it has the least amount of ingredients. But I find it dries too quickly. At the moment I am in love with Lelo's Personal Moisturiser. Simply because I like lube on my clit and need just a little for use internally.

No problems yet with lube.
I use water based, plant formulas with no glycerin or parabens.

I have had certain types of lube hurt me too. Maybe you should look for things those kinds have in common. it may suck to do, but i would just keep trying new kinds. im sure you will find one that works for you eventually.

You could also discuss this with your doctor. They might be able to recommend a better choice for you.

Some lubes irritate me, but it depends if it contains glycerine or not. Usually glycerine is what causes me to have any irritation!

I've been iritated by a few like ky, and any warming lubricants. Check the ingredients and make sure you don't have an infection.

I suggest trying Sliquid Brand, they are glycerin and paraben free so maybe they won't irritate you. The naturals gel is water-based and very mild.

I said no, but I can't imagine it's just because of sensitivity. Try out lubes with different active ingredients

I'm pretty sensitiveness to lubes also. The sliquid H20 lube has been really nice though. I hadn't had any problems or pain with that one so I would definitely try that one out.
