Do you use silicone lubes with silicone toys? I see dire warnings everywhere about this practice. It has been my experience that when I test a silicone lube with a silicone toy they have always been compatible. Has anyone had a bad experience with this mix?
Silicone lubes with silicone toys?

I had one cheap silicone toy melt from silicone lube. It was disgusting.
The general rule is that medical grade silicone is okay to use with high quality silicone lube. If it's cheap silicone or cheap lube you can run into an issue.

I wouldn't risk it at all. I love my toys.

I don't like risking my toys, so I usually don't mix the two. I've had successful spot-tests, but I still worry too much most of the time, and I had a scare once when some silicone lube took many, many washes to get off of a silicone vibe. I do sometimes make an exception for Sliquid Silk, a hybrid lube, which so far hasn't hurt anything (still always spot-test, of course).

I don't use silicone lubes with silicone toys. But high quality silicone will tend to be ok with high quality silicone lubes from what I've heard. However it is just easier to say don't use silicone with silicone toys considering the variables involved, quality of both the lube and the toy and the density of the silicone. Better safe then sorry.

it all depends on what kind of silicon it is, 100% pure silicon seems to be much more easily degraded by silicon lube. however, things like TPR Silicon seem to have a tolerance for it, however slight.

thanks for all the input!

Use water based.

I did it once by accident and everything was fine, but generally I avoid it just to be on the safe side.
