Tingle gels/lubricants expiry date

Contributor: LavenderSkies LavenderSkies
Do you still use tingle gels or lubricants past their expiry date? Is it that harmful to do so? I was displeased to find out that my tingle gel has a shelf life of only 12 months, and I bought it 6 months ago, so it's on it's last few months now! Do you find that these products still work past their expiry date, and would you continue to use them?

I can't speak to their effectiveness since I don't really use those kinda of gels, but the expiry dates on most non-food things are usually there to save the company's ass legally in any unlikely event. I would still use them because I don't see how it could cause harm if that was it's original purpose. I don't see how it could "spoil."
