OK so I was wondering.... do you prefer Warming lube or Tingling lube? Warming lube always makes my pussy feel like it's on fire, lol. That is probably the point but I don't care for it. I prefer the tingling. Just curious what others think about this
Warm or tingly?

I vote "other" because I have VERY sensitive skin and both are painful. I've never really grokked the point of warming lube, isn't 98.6 deg warm enough (hotter when in motion).
Cooling/Tingly? ouch.
I think warming/tingly lubes are for people who have never made the Icy-Hot mistake.

I don't care for either one. I've tried many and my body/clit hates them.

Neither are good for me. KY is the only company that really works for me and does not irritate my skin, I am not sure why.
04/08/2010
So I guess I am not crazy then when certain things burn me too! I tried Durex tingling lube before and that felt ouchie the same as the warming lube did. I thought I was just sensitive or something. The KY Yours and Mine tingling lube felt good to me, but we couldn't use a whole lot and the two together were horrible for me. Lol at mr. sauce (icy hot)

What about cooling lube?
04/08/2010
I'm not really fond of either.

Hmmm... I guess that would fall under other, I am not sure about cooling lube I don't think I have tried it before. I am trying to think if that is actually what the KY hers lube was, the menthol-y feeling could pass for cooling I suppose. Not really sure though!

Neither of us can stand warming or cooling/tingly lubes. Cool/tingly clitoris arousal gels are fun, but that's it.
04/08/2010
We haven't really used them.
04/08/2010
Don't use either. I can't see introducing any unnecessary chemicals to my body overall, much less to my genitals.

We don't use lubricants very often (we mainly reserve those for anal), but when we do, I definitely prefer tingly. We both seem to have sensitive skin, and the warming lubes have a tendency of turning our girl & boy bits into bonfires, haha.

I'm also very sensitive. Anything I've used that's advertised to be 'tingling' has always seemed 'stinging' to me and warming tends to translate to 'I feel like I'm on fire - and not in the good way!'. I'm good for a simple water based or silicone lubricant any day, and the zaniest variation I go for these days is usually flavor.

I like the warming jelly. But, after awhile I don't know if the heat is me or the jelly, a combo of your imagination. I am an old KY fan. I used that stuff back when it was still good on toast. Then the KY tree plight hit and the stuff was not just for breakfast anymore. Well good luck, and good lubing. I wish you a smooth and warm future.

I agree with everyone who says that warming lube=burning bits. I recently actually had an encounter with a warming lubed condom that ended in tears. Mostly I was just freaked out because I didn't know it was a warming lube condom, so I couldn't understand where the burning/itching/pain was coming from. Freaked me the hell out. Tingling/cooling I kinda like. My partner doesn't care for it, though, so we don't use it much.

I can't use a lot of warming lubes or whatnot because of certain ingredients that irritate my vagina. I wish I could, though. I'll stick with my Astroglide.
05/03/2010
Tingly is almost always mint-flavored. Since the smell/taste of mint can make me sick, I'll stick to warming. I rarely use any sort of "additive" in my lubricants though.

The idea of a warming/tingling sensation lube sounds nice, but ultimately it all feels like I've rubbed IcyHot on my beaver.

With lube we're strictly looking for slippery - no warming no tingle. Silicone was our #1 choice but a Shea-Cocoa butter lube has become our current #1 - especially for the new silicone toys we have.

OUCH! I want sex to be HAWT but not THAT hot! I don't like any of them as lubes but cooling or tingly clitoral arousal gels are ok when they work.

I can't get into most warming ones. So tingly it is!
06/28/2010
I like the feel of the tingly but either warming or tingly does not do it for my wife so have not used either in a while...
06/29/2010
I like plain old lube, so I chose "Other". I've tried a bunch, and they're either too intense or too distracting for regular use.
06/29/2010
I like tingling clit gels but not lubes that are used internally

Warming lube does NOT work for me. I feel like my skin is literally on fire when using it. I never knew it was the lube though...I thought it was because I'm super sensitive and small! I wasted so much time on warming lube! Now my vagina is happily NOT burning! YAY!
07/19/2010
I do NOT like "warming" or "tingling" or "cooling" lubes. The less stuff in my lube, the better. I really prefer just plain lube, that does nothing but lubricate. A lot of the tingly, warming cooling lubes burn and I don't like that at all. I stay as far away from ingredients like peppermint oil, menthol, etc.
I get infections really easily, UTIs and vaginal infections, so I stay away from any "interesting" lubes and stick with plain water based no frills lube.

I chose other. I don't like either one. In my experiences the warming ones get too warm, and they all leave a sticky residue. The only two brands I have come across that work great for me are pjur and wet Platinum. They are both silicone based. Any ways, warm, tingly, and sticky are all out of the question for me.

im so glad im not the only one that hated the durex tingle lubricant. I thought i was going to never have feeling in my lady bits again! I was numb for a good 15 minutes and then felt burning for another 15. Im also allergic to benzocaine (found out after the durex experience) so I steer clear of anything that creates a tingle sensation now.

Warming lube is nice but flavored tops it all.
