I've only ever used water-based lube and I'm good with that. I've heard silicone lube is good, but I have a lot of silicone toys, so I'd rather just stick with what I know and what I know is safe for my toys.

For masturbation, I love oil-based lubes the best. They are a little messier than the other types, but feel the best. For partner sex and toy use, I usually stick with water-based.

Sliquid silk is the only one I use. It's a hybrid. Sliquid suggests doing a patch test on silicone toys with it because it has silicone in it. I've used it for years with no issues with my silicone toys though. I'm really sensitive to lubes and hate the texture of some of them. I like how it feels and it doesn't irritate me. It looks like cum so that could be a turn off for some people.
