As Niknvin said use a dusting of cornstarch. It will help to restore the velvety feel and get rid of the icky sticky feeling.

Look for a good quality silicone product. With enough exposure to the chemicals in TPR, there's a high likelihood that you will develop a painful (burning) allergic reaction.
