I think the sleeve texture is what matters. We have the Original Fleshlight with both the mouth and butt openings but they both feel the same. That said, there are some texture that can only be gotten with certain openings, like in the Fleshlight Girls series.

I'm not voting because I obviously can't feel a fleshlight with anything but my fingers, but I would say pay more attention to the inner texture than to the outer opening. That said, I've heard the Pure (donut shaped) is less good-feeling just because the entry hole is a little looser.

Inner is much more important than the outer as mentioned. Really in the end it kinda is mental but you do notice a difference. The butt is tight always where as the vagina is "looser" in the front.

The exterior is almost entirely mental. (I esp. like some of the mouths and butts.) Differences can be felt in the interior textures, but even then not enough to own more than a few different inserts (says my penis).

I don't think I would name the texture as the first among the differences, of which there's a lot. Judging by ma man's feedback, the shape of the opening does a lot of work in creating the fantasy. With different orifices, you have differently shaped molds. The lips, both the "upper" and the "lower" ones, create a softer feeling, allowing you to ease yourself into the toy.
