I really don't know a lot about different materials for sex toys. The last toy I bought was about 5 years ago. (I did just place an order though). All but 1 of my toys are jelly. 1 is glass. I hear people raving on silicone toys. What else is a good material to look for when purchasing a toy? Which are ones to avoid?

You can't beat silicone, glass and wood. Some people like TPR dildos, they're still too porous for my tastes so I try to stick with silicone or glass. Haven't gone for a wooden one yet, but I'm thinking about it.

Glass is my favorite. I stick with items above safety rating of 5.

I won't go below a safety rating of 8, I like glass, steel, stone, silicone and wood. I'd never own a jelly or rubber toy, or really anything below that magic 8...
