I've been considering getting a toy cleaner product with my next order... I've never tried anything like this before, and am wondering which I should get... I really don't know much about these things.. actually, I am even quite new to sex toys in general lol... Are the toy cleaners worth it? Is it better to get a bottle of cleaner or wipes? Or do you consider them a waste of money? Any comments are appreciated!

As stated above, Im curious to hear what you think of the toy cleaners.. Are wipes or bottles better? Or do you prefer neither?

I have the Advanced Smart toy cleaner and I love it. It makes cleaning super easy and I love that it doesn't leave behind residue or scent.
The Eden Toy and Body Wipes are usually a free gift. They're really awesome, too.

I'm getting both the Advanced Smart Toy Cleaner and the Afterglow Wipes (individual sachet) in my next order, so I vote for both but could only do one I also have the Toy and Body wipes on the way, plus I use my Climax Bursts toy cleaner all the time and it's great

Have them all. Used them all. Really like the Pleasure Wipes Tub. Afterglow would have been good too, but dried out in that packet...FAST, once opened. Sprays need paper towels, which leave lint...etc.

I really like my System JO Antibacterial Toy Cleaner; it foams!
08/22/2011
I just use either regular Pampers baby wipes for a quick clean after using my toys or sex, and then clean my toys more thoroughly with antibacterial soap and water later. It works well for me.

Toy cleaners to not substitute for soap and water. They are an "emergency" cleaning product (I spray my toys if I am not going to be able to drag myself out of bed after sex to clean my toys until later or until the next morning) or for use during a deep cleaning.

Also, toy cleaners are great for the handles of plug in vibrator/massagers like the Wahl and the Hitachi. These are things that are difficult to use soap and water on and don't touch orifices. I use Cal Exotic toy wash on the handle of my Wahl every time I use it, but take off the attachment and clean it in the sink it hot water and soap.
I really like the Cal Exotics Toy Wash (that's MY video! With instructions on how to use the product.)
I also really like the Eden Wipes, because they can be used on the body, too. I wish they came in a larger container than ten.
Personally, I cannot abide baby wipes. I have kids and have done a lot of doula work and infant care. I smell baby wipes and think of shit. Huggies Natural Care are good for wiping up dye when I color my hair (Carrie Ann's suggestion) as they don't smell quite as bad as most baby wipes. But, I can't use them on my intimate parts or on my toys. BLEH.

I use the Advanced smart cleaner. Works very well for me!

I agree with P'Gell - wipes and toy cleaners are not a substitute for soap and water. So I feel like since I'm going to wash the toys with soap and water anyway, why waste time and money on toy cleaners or wipes.
I do use baby wipes for a quick clean up afterwards if I need to, but otherwise I just wash my toys up in the sink with soap and water after use.

Soap and water
08/23/2011
Soap and water in the sink. It gets the toys really clean, minimizes chemical residues, is simple, and doesn't require that I remember to check the supplies of much.
08/23/2011
I found that the before and after cleaner works awesome and smells the GREATEST!!!!!!!! I am going to buy more bottles honestly. They are great and smell great too!
08/23/2011
Get the Toy cleaner.

Thanks for the information. I am actually really new to toys so it is quite helpful. I am wondering, is there a certain soap to use or can you use anything really?

costco baby wipes. They are high quality and cheap compared to the wipes sold here.

I just use normal antibacterial soap - nothing special, nothing fancy. Just plain old hand washing soap.

Antibacterial soap and water does the trick every time.
08/24/2011
I love and swear by them for after sex clean up but don't waste them on toys.

Afterglow toy and body wipes
08/24/2011
I say Afterglow because THAT is what I tend to use the most
08/29/2011
For thorough cleaning I use this foaming toy cleaner and hot water. Does a good job and a little goes a long way. As for wipes, I use the Afterglow ones whenever I'm too lazy to get out of bed, and I've taken a few along in my overnight bag (the 24 pack works better for this, since each wipe is individually wrapped and you can take as many or as few as you like).
08/31/2011
In general, I just use soap and water to clean my toys, but if I'm feeling really lazy & don't feel like trekking to the bathroom in the middle of the night, I like to use the antibacterial toy spray. Then I just give it a rinse the next day, and I'm satisfied that it's clean!
09/01/2011
Unless your sneaking toy play seems like a waste. I am a bit ocd about them having to be squeaky clean.
09/09/2011
I'm looking at getting the 24-pack of individually wrapped After Glow wipes. That way you get a guaranteed moist wipe every time, no real need to worry about them drying out!
10/02/2011
We've got a small stock pile of Eden toy and body wipes, also we sometimes use baby wipes since we have a little one, but usually it's just soap and water.
10/02/2011
I like saving money so I just use soap and water.
10/25/2011
I've been using the Eden toy and body wipes that are free with orders and I really like those. I also use soap and water. I don't like using my baby wipes on my toys because I don't want my toys to smell like a baby if that makes sense.
10/25/2011
Afterglow, or just plain soap and water.

I'd go for Afterglows because they come in individually wrapped packets- I'm not looking for a bulk cleaner to use at home (soap and water/bleach/boiling water will work for that) but rather something convenient to use on the go once and awhile
11/26/2011
Before & After spray.

We've been using the Booty Parlor toy cleaner, and it's really good. My wife can get a UTI very easily, and no trouble since we started using this spray, and it smells nice too.
01/26/2012
I don't use toy cleaners often, so my experience here is limited. I have used afterglow before, though, and they seemed to work okay.
01/26/2012
baby wipes cheap and always have them around any ways
01/26/2012
soap and water for me
01/27/2012
We use the Eden wipes for a quick wipe down of body fluids, but we always thoroughly wash toys with soap and hot water after use.
01/28/2012
I started with soap and water but graduated to cleaners only to recently have a friend of mine give me toy wipes in her Christmas card and now I'm hooked, WIPES ALL THE WAY!!!!
01/28/2012
I think the mist would last longer.

Soap & water
02/03/2012
Afterglow would be good for travel.
02/03/2012
Afterglow is great for travel because of the pouch, but EdenWipes are FREE and they work wonderfully. And they have a pouch you can travel with. It breaks if you aren't careful with it upon first opening it, but if you can handle being careful it's a bargain.
02/15/2012
afterglow toy wipes because i prefer wipes and find them super convenient!
02/17/2012
I have got the afterglow before, get them.

Antibacterial soap and warm water works for me.
02/23/2012
I'd go for the free ones, otherwise soap and water is fine.
02/23/2012
I keep some wipes around for situations where it would kill the mood to haul my ass out of bed and go clean. Most of the time, though, I use antibac soap and water. Why spend money on a cleaner when you can use soap you already buy?
02/26/2012
I like sprays over wipes.
03/08/2012
I use the AfterGlow wipes when I can't or don't want to be bothered to go into the bathroom for a full cleaning or for my little clit vibe that's not waterproof. It's not the best product for the body so I don't usually use them to wipe me off and I rinse toys or at least wipe them with a damp cloth to remove the cleaner from the toy before using it again. I use System Jo cleaner to clean toys more thoroughly.
03/08/2012
I always just used warm soap and water. I bought some toy cleaner in a bottle Climax Bursts antibacterial toy cleaner. I like it because it smells nice but does not leave any lingering odors. It also doesn't leave and residueson my toys that I have noticed and rinses off clean.
I don't like the shape of the bottle but the cleaner works well.
