Before and after toy cleaner - toy cleanser discontinued by Classic Erotica - review by mistressg

So, I ordered this months ago because I found washing my toys with soap and water to be irritating. I tried gentle soaps, and anti-bacterial soaps. I tried washing really well to make sure I got all the soaps off...still, I think it was bothering me. Of course depending on what you use you can put toy covers or regular old condoms over them, but you still NEED to clean them. Anyone who uses toys knows that to do so responsibly you need to make sure you keep them clean, no matter the material! I went online and looked around for something to specifically clean toys. I found many results, and on every website I checked the Before & After spray cleaner was listed, and on every site it had the highest ratings and best reviews. I figured I might as well bite the bullet and pay the $10 for it. I opted for the 8 oz. bottle, because if I DID like it, I wanted to have plenty on hand.

One thing that worried me was ordering a scented product online. I didn't want something that would bother me, or be super floral, or heavy smelling, or just overall bad. All of the reviews I read said it smelled nice. When my bottle arrived, I took it out of the box and wanted to smell it immediately, so as to make sure I didn't make a regrettable decision with this product. I noticed that the label on the bottle is slightly different than the one shown in the photo here on Eden. My bottle looks like this

Anyhow, the smell is really nice! It smells clean, not like heavy flowers or chemicals. The closest I can compare it to is the smell of fresh laundry. It's good. You can wash your toys down with soap/water and let them dry then spritz this on them a few times, (then I let it sit for a few seconds) wipe it off with a clean towel or tissue, and you're good to go. If you're in a hurry or don't have access to water, you could spray this on and wipe it down and it will work fine, but I wouldn't recommend doing that every time, especially depending on the material of the toy. I used this on my rabbit after using it, when I first got it. I sprayed a few times, let it sit, wiped it down, and it was good as new. I was worried that the next time I would use it, since it's an anti-bacterial, it could be irritating or I could get an infection. Nope! Nothing like that! :)

Now, I use it on all of my toys. It is a wonderful product to have. I would recommend it to anyone who uses toys, anyone who has a problem with soaps, and if you get infections regularly trying this product out on your toys may help. I've had this bottle for months and it isn't even low enough to meet the top label edge! And I have used it pretty regularly. I think that this is a lot more economical than wipes I've seen on the market - they tend to be the same price (or more!) for maybe a dozen wipes. You'll get SEVERAL dozen uses out of this before you need to worry about getting more, trust me. I HIGHLY recommend this product.

This stuff is great. I still have my first bottle, and I use it often. I plan on getting a back up once this gets about 3/4 empty...which it isn't even close to yet! I use it one all of my toys, I love it. It is a great product to have on hand. I would say this is a must-have, for anyone. If you're getting your first vibrator, I suggest you pick up a bottle of this to go along with it. If you are an experience toy-user, I would be surprised if you didn't already know about this! I just wish I had learned about it sooner!
